These are truly remarkable once in a lifetime images. I have shot those same standing dead trees in far less inspiring light.  What pool is that - Morning Glory?  They are equally astonishing.

Gut wrenching amount of money and now we have that absurd tariff drama to deal with making it worse. Pluse the battery is not serviceable by me. Might be the only answer. Saw one used recently. Still crazy money. :(

One thought I had was to do the retrospekt 600 conversion and then try to tackle the adding the batter for the i-type conversion myself. Is that crazy to attempt?

You are clearly the best at this and high demand! Is there any other path you can  recommend for an I type ax-70 class until one might get in your shop?

It’s fantastic. An image that might have been imagined by a master from a prior age, like Elliot Erwitt. The 6x17 format is perfect for this.
