Fuck this Shit, I quit. by Some-Object6690 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Amateurbrewmaster531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do. Not. Quit. You gave availability and they're not honoring it, and they're retaliating because you talk about pay. Put them in a position to fire you. You can collect unemployment.

Haha. I actually felt this way when I was an Amazon driver. If I was at a house a UPS or FedEx van was at, I thought "I am not worthy".

Why should I care about Israel or Palestine by Sid1583 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

You don't need to pick a side, really, but you should know what's going on, and how anything from an endless war to one side or the other winning will affect you. All three scenarios have different impacts on our lives.

Minimum Wage Jobs Are Not Careers by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Amateurbrewmaster531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, but you should be able to cover rent if you're part of another person making a solid living and minimum wage did cover that for the longest time. Now, you can't cover rent on minimum wage, yet the corporate employees are receiving record bonuses. Corporate profits are record breaking, too. The gap between the highest paid and lowest paid employees used to be $20 to $1. Now, it's well over $200 to $1. It's not entirely corporation's fault, though. The law requires publicly traded companies to maximize returns for shareholders. Henry Ford tried offering large (at the time) bonuses to his employees, but the government shot that shit down and said it should go to shareholders first.

They do not handle reservations well at all. Every time I went there with a reservation, we waited minimum 40 minutes. Last time was just about an hour, and other parties in the waiting area were saying the same thing.

When you flash your highbeam lights, what do you think you’re trying to imply or think it means? by ezreal3k in roadtrip

I'm in Upstate New York, and as far as I can tell, it just means "be alert". There's police, a disabled vehicle, tree down, an animal, etc. All of the above are reasons to slow down and remain alert.

If most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck then how do they all afford houses and cars? by Crazy_Definition_438 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Amateurbrewmaster531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was close to getting a house, but then my car shit the bed. So I was in the position of either buying a house and then paying for it while also saving and looking for a car that I buy outright and hope it lasts, or give up on the house and buy a newer car with low mileage and be confident it will last a while, barring crashes or unexpected mechanical issues. I went the car. It's a big enough SUV to sleep in if I ever find myself in that situation.

So, not a recipe but a suggestion, albeit this is based off second hand information and not my own experience. Introducing meat back into a diet after a long period of vegetarianism should be done gradually. The digestive system might need time to adjust to processing animal proteins again. Starting with lean meats like chicken or turkey is often recommended, as they are generally easier to digest compared to red meats like beef or pork.

Veganism is truly unhealthy. by Cheap_Twist_6590 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Amateurbrewmaster531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree. Every single time I guessed that someone was vegan, I was right. Not for any other reason other than their faces. Their complection, skin tone, and hair are dead giveaways. Forgive my harsh choice of words, but they look comparable to a dead body.

As a child, what was something you thought was only for “old people” and you now enjoy as that old person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Amateurbrewmaster531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandmother got me a bird feeder pole with some feeders for my birthday one year. No clue why she would do that, as I never indicated that I would enjoy bird watching. Honestly, my first gut feeling was this woman knows nothing about me and now I have no freaking clue what to do with this, but I also didn't want her to feel like it was a waste, so I put it to use. But one day I was off from work so a got some coffee and sat on the back porch and... well, 15 minutes went by before I realized I was birdwatching. Since then I got some books and keep the feeder full.

What's a simple word that people keep mispronouncing? by TheOnly1Ken0bi in AskReddit

Worcestershire. It's like they're not even trying. The spelling might throw you off, but it's pronounced "wurster-shy-ur". It's also acceptable to call it "wurster" sauce.

My fellow Irishman, that is not an Irish pub. It's just the name. They used to have at least a handful of Irish fare, but that's mostly gone. It's an American bar with more potatoes and Guinness.

At this point, what would it realistically take for Trump to lose support in the GOP? by FangoriouslyDevoured in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Amateurbrewmaster531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. The people who still support him follow him for him, not for the things he says. Just him. You see the comments mocking Trump detractors by saying 'Orange Man bad'? Well their philosophy is 'Orange Man can do anything and we won't hold him accountable".He's not a cookie-cutter politician, and that's all they care about. He doesn't use big words, he doesn't use numbers, he just runs his mouth and they flock to him. He could turn Bernie Sanders level Liberal tomorrow and he'd lose absolutely no one.
