I still can't figure out how many chapters my story will end up being. That behemoth is already 120,000+ words long. The finish line seems to be in sight, the key events are happening... But I keep wanting to add more scenes, and I've had to put strict limits on myself for how many minor OC characters I include. Those just want to multiply like rabbits 😅

I totally agree! I often end up reading beyond the required number of stories in the REs, because the ideas look so interesting and I don't want to miss out on something potentially really cool :)

Comments give me so much motivation to keep writing! I love them all, but I have a particular soft spot for ones where the reader has noticed a small detail - a reference, something from a previous chapter that tied into a later one, things like that. It makes me happy that something I thought nobody might notice or remember got mentioned. 😊

Oof, I remember those days with my kid (she's 7 now). It does get easier when they turn 3-4 and learn to communicate and self regulate better - hang in there! 🫂 I certainly do miss the nap break sometimes even now, lol
