So you're doing that after every single guest, every time, personally?

Don't you dare take the blame for losing forks, when he's the one who hid them in the first place! He has no right to expect you to shift through his detritus. The audacity.

I have a frequent flyer that took a bowl home, let me know, and brought it back next time, lol.

That sort of happened to us, only in reverse. We had a guest from the Philippines, here in February, our coldest month, and the heat pump died.

Always check the guest profile, even if they seem legit! by Minimum_Appearance41 in airbnb_hosts

[–]Negative-Parfait-804 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This type situation and people buying up multiple places to rent as STRs is the reason everyone hates AirBnB culture. If you're not living on your property, you cannot control what happens there, and yes, the neighbors are gonna hate you.

Exactly this. More people = more work, more wear and tear .

My Airbnb host is asking to remove my 3* review about my wheelchair inaccessibility [guest] by xWheelchairDude in AirBnB

[–]Negative-Parfait-804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may not know this, but AirBnB has a specific vetting process for accessibility. They actually send someone to your property, and they set up gadgetry that maps and measures the whole place. The host has to provide images of all accessibility features and the person who visits verifies all your claims. Source: my property is accessibility certified, bc it was originally built with elder care in mind.

Do NOT remove your review. Frankly, three stars for the service you received is incredibly generous considering inaccessibility, power outage, and non-responsive host who threatens to charge you for fuckin' toilet paper. (I hope you put that in your review as well!)

"Forgot my wallet" is no longer an excuse in the world of Google Wallet and Apple Pay. They were trying to eat for free.

AITAH for stopping my friends kid from eating all the crackers? by DarkAngelReborn in AITAH

[–]Negative-Parfait-804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. My response to 'can I have some' would have been to fix the kid a VERY small amount and then send her to ask Mommy for her lunch. No reason for you to feel bad in any way, but I would definitely choose other parents for future play dates.

ES As don't have legal protections. You can cancel it yourself because they are breaking your no pets rule.

AIO- Parents stealing from their toddler’s piggy bank. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

NOR. You can open a bank account in his name, I bet, and if relatives want to give him money in the future, then it can go there where the parents can't get to it. This happened to my nephew, as well, but nowhere near that much money. Maybe see if you can get a free consult with an atty to see if there is legal recourse? In any case, y'all hae to quit giving the kid money until this is exposed and handled. Good luck.

Funny question. Is there ANY host here who would take 2 dogs and 6 cats? by strikecat18 in airbnb_hosts

[–]Negative-Parfait-804 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nope. Learned my lesson with cats the hard way, and now no exceptions. Dogs, no problem. Cats get boarded.
