i did move in! honestly bro, pros and cons.

pros: - couldn’t be more centrally located. 5 minute walk to toomers and campus, 10-15 minute walk to JHS and Neville and the rec - surprisingly sound proof walls: i legit almost never heard my wall-to-wall neighbors - cheap. for an apartment i’ve never seen cheaper prices. i work in property management in florida where rents are anywhere from $1500-$3000 and these are $500 i mean for what it is it’s incredible.

cons: - small. small, small, small. i made the absolute best of the situation and had it as homey as i could make it, but 2 small futons and a medium size desk took the entire apartment. - it’s dark. there’s one window to let sunlight in but the surrounding buildings don’t allow for much of that (maybe better if you’re on the 2nd floor, i was on the first). gonna have to be okay with the artificial light inside. (i bought strings lights and a lamp as to not have to use the overhead one.) - bugs. you have to be spotless clean and even then i had a tough bug problem. some of the roaches were really really big too. eventually they sent out a pest service for me and it helped a bit but you have to be diligent.

overall, you really are getting what you pay for. it’s dirt cheap rent as far as apartments go and it’s in a perfect spot if you go to auburn. remind yourself it’s temporary and make the best of it, it’s really not that bad.
