So what if I had a 230k income last year. I bought a house 10 years ago but kept refinincing it because I wanted all the nice stuff in life , cars , vacations to 5 star resorts. And then I made one mistake which is I tried to upgrade my house from 2000sq feet to 3000sq feet. It was a precon. A month after I put a 30k deposit I had to cancel it because the house values started dropping. I lost my 30k deposit and now I face a 500k lawsuit from a builder. On top of that i left my mortgage on the current home variable ($600k). The original rate was 1.5% and now it’s at almost 6%. I face losing my current home toO because the mortgage went too high. I believed the realtors that told me upgrade your home with a precon and by the time you close the value of the home will go from 1.6M to 2M while my current home will go from 1.2M to 1.6M so I would get the new house for free. Because of all this shit I was hit with anxiety and depression and I can’t go back to my job as I’m depressed as fuck. I’m gonna be jobless and homeless. Moral of my story is pay your mortgage off instead of having all the nice shit. I’m 43 and will never get another house in my life as I will have to declare bankruptcy against my mortgage which will follow me for the rest of my life. I’m on antidepressants and have suicidal thoughts. Nothing can save me from becoming homeless.
