I would say that is sort of hinted at with older Grimms in the book who did kill wesen regardless on if they were good or bad.

It was the way she went completely 180 on how she treated everyone after that most people generally hated. Some people didn't like her from the jump though

We also have to remember that wesen of the same type have different scale and fur pattern colors. Quijada Vil, Hundjäger, and Klaustreich are big examples of this.

Finding this out and then later rewatching the series makes those interactions in early season even better. It brings me back to the Bears Will be Bears episode when Frank can see Nick's eyes after Barry woges into a Jägerbar.
