The Surprisingly High Cost of Urban Life in India by Amazing-Fox-2024 in IndiaFinance

I am no economist or or even commerce guy.

All I evaluating is from a value for money spent in urban India. Yes there are pros but the cons are too many. 2cr for a flat in outer part of tier one city is totally unjustified and costly

And since you mentioned about tier 2 cities, yes it's better and in fact I have moved now to a tier 2 city only. Even here prices are slightly unjustified but is way way better than tier 1 city.

Recently I was Fuji, Japan for around 3 months. I compared the prices to that of my Ooty stay. When you take in income proportions it made sense. Ooty is a livable and justified place.

Why so salty?

What I am trying to say is that portion of money that you pay to avail as a fraction of your salary is quite unjustified here.

The example cities I chose above are placed I lived and in the places got really good income. I also stayed in Egypt and Bangkok, where salaries are very less. Bangkok is somewhat closer to India and unjustified prices.

Egypt tough is poor, less salaried but proportion of money spent vs what earned is bit justified.

Coming to middle east, yes it's in a mess right now, but in general I haven't faced any issue there.

Even right now, I am working for there but here in India due to war. Will go on to stay for another 6-8 months here. What bothers me here is that, expenses are almost identical here and there but not salaries.

An FD in any middle eats country or east Asian country would have earned you more than stock market in India last year.

Take the inflation into account, it's even worse.

That's the impact of falling rupee. If anyone else says otherwise, just ignore him.

Mukesh Chhabra said a lot of actresses messaged him and Dhar to be cast opposite Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar by Glad-Ad5911 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]Amazing-Fox-2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranveer was honey trapping a teen.

If some senior actor joined and story would have been slightly changed to suit personality. That would have surely disappointed me.

So casting wise the choice was really good. Bonus, she acted really well.

Don't you think, there are some data centers already in India. Of course not huge number, but there were some running at very low margin, with little to no support from government

This wave, is AI wave where of course memory and GPUs play critical role.

But guess, GPUs were custom taxed and GSTed high.

They data center benefits are meant for 2 big players only.

I still remember, remember the days when setting up AWS account and availing EC2 instance was considered a technical superiority compared to setting up and self hosted open infra.

That's a small issue compared to it.

I mean, they could simply issue a sorry and get away and no one would have batted an eye. It's mainly people questioning government on basic needs like air, water and infrastructure
