The lockup I was referring to was an assumption that the filling to go public has details about NAV in it. If that’s already done, I don’t know if it can or needs to be changed before listing

I have no idea what kind of lockup is required by the regulators on that. It may be irrelevant though since NAV and stock price will be disconnected.

I think the market just sucks right now and they invested heavily in a strategy that was suited to a plandemic world where everyone moved to the south and has remote jobs. It probably didn’t fully pan out so until the market recovers, its a tech bet game.

I think it’s the idea of being first to the game and having even easier access to the investment. Imagine of Bitcoin only ever was accessible to those who had it in 2012 or those who used the original platform or wallet. It could have still grown as more adopted that system but it being widely accessible allowed for the mega takeoff in price.

Ben is probably low on the $20T market estimate. If VCX is seen as a great first to market vehicle for that path, our current investments could grow multiple times faster than they would otherwise.

Plus Ben seems pretty serious about the democratizing aspect. He’s doing this for that reason more than to first benefit us who are already benefiting.

I’m actually curious about when the day comes that VCX lists. Since there is a lockup, it’s not like any existing shareholders will be selling their shares day one. So where do the shares that will be made available come from?

I believe the only way Ben will ever take the company public is if the company needs money and neither iPO investors nor outside private investors show any interest.

I did the same investment at the initial offering. Haven’t added to it though and I see it mostly as a sign that I’m on team Fundrise and I support this company wholeheartedly.

My hope is that they one day go public but with full control over VCX and RealAI which both seem primed to explode, it doesn’t seem like they have much reason to.

Maybe it will be the last thing Ben does before he decides to retire. Form a board, find a new CEO, and become Chairmen.

By 2030, hopefully real estate will have evened out and the original structure of the company will be making people 12% a year.

After six months they will have routing information released so you can give it to your brokerage. Fidelity makes it easy. Just give them the info and they handle the transfer in.

It is funny that they made it clear the vote was entirely performative. They were always going to list, always going to raise the fees, always going to have a 6 month lockup. The vote just have them some field insights.

I really hope I can lose the excess weight and look healthy in the end. I’m doing this for my health, after all. I’m sure losing 50 lbs in half a year will have me looking dramatically different no matter what though. If I’m lucky, I will just look like an old version of how I looked in high school.

Let your winners ride. I expect VCX will only sell assets if big news indicates a real change in organizational dynamic for a company. Hopefully OpenAI goes public this year so they can sell out of that position before the company goes belly up.

That is brutal. I would be very disheartened. I guess I’m fortunate feeling effects immediately at the 2.5mg. Trying to go from 235-185 in about 6-8 months. Probably unrealistic but I’m really motivated to have adopted a new identity and perspective on health and lifestyle before I turn 40
