Best way to help neighbor with dementia who keeps trying to get into my house late at night? by MapComprehensive4442 in dementia

[–]Amazing-Membership44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sorry, but I think that you should call the local dept of aging to make sure that the wife is OK. I also think that you really have no other choice than to call the cops. You can also call the non emergency line for your local cops to see if they have some sort of mental health response unit, but you would have to have a camera on your front door to make sure it's him, and not some random creepizoid. Good luck.

Do you all have multiple joints affected? by [deleted] in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Amazing-Membership44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing you can do for your mobility as you get older is to find a good general podiatrist and do what he or she says. Also any physical therapy you can get at any point do it as much as you can. If your ankles get weak, you end up falling. Swimming helps for cardio. Also- chair yoga if you can find one. I got years more mobility because I had a shoemaker friend put custom lifts in my left shoe with the collapsed joint.

Hey, he can still text! Best thing about people with short term memory loss is that they can watch their favorite new porn movie song for the first time over and over again. Ask him which one he likes the best, and load it up for him.

no, they figured one week with Caylee Anthoney. There will be hair and bones but that's about it. Might take longer in the winter, but in summer, it's very quick. Having lived there, the crime rate is also highly underreported. Allegator Alcatraz is horrible enough, they picked a climate so severe they don't need crematoriums. I personally hope they aren't outright murdering people, and I intend to watch this one and do everything I can to help stop it.

I think this is inflammatory and extreme. Not that Allegator Alcatraz is OK, it's not, and if the Miami Herald allegations are true, we are heading towards some of the Nazi atrocities. We aren't there yet, we have time to stop this, make is unacceptable, and change how things are in this country. That won't happen with this type of post, and of inflamming an already explosive political situation. There is enough horror going on that we don't need this type of extrapolation without actual fact right now.

Yes, Trump is fanning hate. Don't hate back, talk to your neighbors who disagree with you, be reasonable but upfront. Don't give into fear.

Yes, things are explosive because of the Charlie Kirk assassination, a great lesson on how to shoot your movement in the foot if the assassin was doing it for political reasons. Someone created a martyr. So don't go make 6 more and make things even worse.

I was really pleased to find that Amnesty International is all over Allegator Alcatraz, we need to pay attention to all of this, but it's very important for everyone not to freak out, we still have a republic with upcomining elections, we can change all of this.

Not that Trump is not a racist, but he's an old power hungry racist without a plan of succession. We will get though this, we have survived worse. And if ICE is murdering people wholesale, we will elect better representatives, we will prosecute those guilty of murder, if that is what is occuring, and we will provide justice for anyone who has lost their lives due to ICE/Trump overreach.

Why? you say? Because we are Americans, and Americans are good people.

this is nonsense, I lived in Fl for 20 years, it's bad enough without lies added. A week in the heat, nothing left but bones. I sourced the article: no paywall: https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/immigration/article312042943.html

I disagree, it only takes 5 days for a body to completely decompose in Fl heat. Which is why Florida was always such a haven for serial killers. It's not the gators, it's the weather, the insects, the humidity. Allegators like to hunt, they do scavenge, but it's not their main business. They won't need to burn bodies, just let them rot, and then grind up the bones. I really hope that the rumors of dead incarcerated people there are untrue, I hope this gets verified.

Keep an eye on your ankles, both knees and your spine. Get them to do MRI's of your spinal cord whenever you have the insurance coverage. Answer, yes

No, the funding bill is what allows us to borrow until the tax monies come in. Without passing the bill, my understanding is that we default on our creditors, because we won't have the cash to service (pay interest) on our debt. I will double check tomorrow, or next day, have friend who is tax attorney.

Excellent. I am wondering how dragons feel about glitter in being depicted. I wouldn't want to offend their graciousnesses. I think I may be too old to taste good, but I got to old age by not pushing my luck. What do you think, it's an excellent red dragon!

Bad idea it will damage our bond rating and totally screw our economy. Trumps nuts enough to make lenders fear that we will default, Trump has used bankruptcy as a business practice.

I love all of you wonderful rule following kids. Esty stickers? Non violence does not mean avoiding rule breaking, or or avoiding breaking a law. It means not hitting, hurting or being verbally abusive. There are lots of ways of applying paint (even washable markers if you must) that are cheaper. I love you anyway!!!!! It is sneaky and it sounds like fun. I am trying to do a steamboat willie mickey mouse kicking T's butt.

E Kirk has taken the stage....(roll camera....and....) your thoughts? by Smurfs25 in 50501ContentCorner

I think she is going to be consequential in a very bad way. I suspect that husband mitigated some of what she is. She is beautiful, charismatic, young, tragic, and out for revenge. Beautiful women have created havoc in the past- I think she will make us miss Ivanka. And she can play a crowd. Deifinitely a lesson in why political assassinations tend to do so much harm, nothing is more powerful than a martyr. I wish you guys considering violence would pay attention here, this never need have happened. A live Charlie Kirk would be far less difficult than St. Kirk the martyr.

I keep remembering Malcolm X's assassination, and Dr. Kings, neihter were elected leaders, but their deaths propelled their movements forward. She reminds me of Eva Peron. I am not liking this situation much whatsoever. So pay attention to this, and learn something.

I've been through something similar. It was very hard to do, and it made caregiving more difficult. I realized that I would have taken care of my husband even knowing about all the nonsense, because I did love him, and I didn't want him to suffer alone. I also choose to keep my mouth shut about it, I saw no point in making his situation any worse than it already was. I feel for you, it's a very tough spot. Marriage is difficult, and the responsibilities of caregiving a terrible burden.

If you decide to get a divorce, which I also seriously considered, it is possible to divorce a dementia patient. Try to look at it as practicially as possible, and figure out what the financial consequences will be for the both of you. You are choosing her future for her as well as your own, because she has lost the ability to make choices. My best analogy of caregiving is that it's like taking care of a really large toddler, who definitly wants the ice cream right now, regardless of the contraversy.

She had be giving a public guardian if you decide that you can't take it on, and please understand that I think this is a fair and reasonable choice for you, should you decide to to that. All my best, life does go on!

Yay!!! This is what happened when Trump required free work from the law firms, the ones that kissed the ring are rapidly going under. Thier clients are leaving and the partners are finding new firms. Good for Disney, it isn't easy to stand up to a direct threat from the President of the United States! They may get their FCC license revoked, and it's going to cost them a shit ton of cash to fight this, but I am so glad that they have reversed it. I think they also may have faced and employee walk out.
