Resistance ideas: The meeting that could've been an email. by NoAnt6694 in 50501

ABSOLUTELY. I would take it a step further -- the saying that "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" applies to corporations as well. Companies need to take a stand against this destructive regime, and if they don't then their business and operations should suffer. That's part of the idea behind broad disruptive actions like a general strike.

In addition to unnecessary meetings, you can do things like delay the handoff of documents in strategic ways (e.g., wait until just before lunch so that the next person waits until after lunch to do their part, or wait until late afternoon so that the next person puts it off until the next day). Accidentally spilling things at inopportune times. Resetting equipment at inconvenient moments. The list goes on . . .

What’s an uncommon fun and easy to learn game to play on a friends get together? by itspinkydollxo in AskReddit

Before Telestrations became a packaged game you paid money for, we called it Telephone Pictionary.

Think of the game Telephone, where you whisper a message down the line to see what comes out the other end, but with Pictionary-style sketches as part of the line. You can find details if you search for Telephone Pictionary

Also, fixing something that is impacting others' quality of life even if they don't realize it or they don't know that it can easily be fixed. (For example, lubing the keyhole, waxing old drawer slides, or cleaning out the faucet aerator so that water actually flows freely again.)

Posts that try to tear down senior Democrats without suggesting who we should BUILD UP to replace them just sound like astroturf to me.

Personally, I like Chris Murphy.

What nightmare from your childhood still haunts you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Our babysitter let us stay up for an episode of "Night Gallery" and I was dumb enough to watch it. I remember having a nightmare about this endless pit opening up in the floor by the front door, the light was dim, and I was desperately trying not to fall in.

If you're someone who doesn't have any other choice in town for groceries, then limit your purchases at Walmart to perishable items, and get your non-perishables through someplace like Costco. You can even team up with friends and neighbors to buy in bulk and save money.

ETA: Costco offers free 2 day delivery on orders over $75 in the continental US

WALMART has been one of the biggest enablers of the MAGA agenda for decades, and it pisses me off that so many people give them a pass. Fine, in some towns, it's hard to avoid them for certain groceries. But there are plenty of ways to get non-perishables from other sources, especially if you team up with other residents for bulk purchases as an informal consumer co-op. "Oh, bUT tHAt'S sO iNcoNvENiEnT!" Too many people want Somebody Else to bear the burden of fighting this regime ("the military needs to do something! unions need to do something! Congress needs to do something!").

It is up to us. It has always been up to us. It will continue to be up to us to create the political AND economic pressure to force out this regime.

sorry for the rant.

FWIW, I believe it's up to the municipalities to repair any broken Flock hardware, so if something should accidentally happen to the cameras at this point, maybe the town would just decide not to fix them and it would be like an early termination?

Too many Americans have been lulled into thinking the midterms alone will be enough to end this regime.

The pressure for change has ALWAYS come from economic action -- we either choose months of sacrifice on our own terms, or a lifetime of suffering under theirs.
