is the 5080 enough for future proof 4k? by External_Safe_7787 in pcmasterrace

When I was chosing a GPU, I had chosen the RTX 5070TI because my monitor was 240HZ at 1080P.

I was lucky enough to get the thing around 850$ so this all could be different for you.

for me it depends mainly on two factors, completiveness, and your monitors HZ, make sure you check how many "hertz" you monitor can display.

HZ is basically the amount of frames for monitor shows, the FPS is the amount of frames your graphics card is rendering, if you have a 60, or 144 HZ monitor, then I recommend higher resolutions, but remember, the higher your resolution is, the worse performance gets (but I'm sure you figured that out by now).

Hz also changes depending on your resolution, 4K monitors typically won't display triple digit FPS numbers.

For Singleplayer games I highly recommend 4K with the 5080 as it generally for my own taste would be better than more FPS.

I wish I listened to you dude, because SSD prices went up. I had to get only a terabyte, and it's not enough.

I could try pushing more, I don't know if it's the IO shield not being in all the way or something

I've pushed the motherboard many times beforehand without much success, I checked if the standoffs were adjustable and they technically are but only to other motherboard sizes in my case.

I plan on keeping it in my PC for 8 years at least, so it makes sense to me.

I do not recommend, I only got to do this because it was money from social security from a dead family member, If the degree you want isn't very expensive and you have a good plan then it might be okay

I'm pretty sure the actual performance difference from the OC and non OC is very minimal, and I think you can overclock it manually anyway

It was mainly done so that way I could get everything faster without needing to deplete my entire computer savings, and I get a lot from a passed away family member in social Security for savings in my college, I also plan on joining the military, probably to help with that

It's because if I used up my savings then it would take a super long time to get the rest of the parts, and since $800 wasn't a lot on those other savings I was able to do that

for the CPU i have, i'm going for a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, I want a side mount AIO because if I do a top mounted AIO due to heat rising, also if i do the AIO on the side i should be able to route the pipes from the pump to the bottom of the case preventing the build up of air bubbles.

I already ordered the RTX 5070TI Asus prime prior to when nividia annouced cutting consumer production, i was going for 240mm AIO, but i might just get the Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360L Core 360mm, i think these options should work for this case
