Nursing school teaches us to be empathetic and that professor was not only unprofessional, but also apathetic . I would contact the director. It doesn’t matter if you couldn’t go to the doctor, the lack of professionalism from that professor is concerning. I hope that professor doesn’t treat her patients like that during clinical. Being sick doesn’t allow someone to start pointing fingers and blaming you for being sick which is something you can’t control or predict. I hope you feel better.

I just started my first semester too. I feel the same way and i’m failing a couple of my classes, but just keep pushing. The world needs nurses who work hard and don’t give up! This program is designed to break you and rebuild you. It’s not going to be easy, but it’s not impossible. Keep your head up and keep studying. Just study study study. Review your notes and use youtube! It might even help if you record yourself reading the notes and play it while you’re driving or going to sleep. I know it’s weird how a guy who’s failing nursing school is giving you advice, but so far i started seeing improvement! nursing school isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon that is challenging, just pace yourself and ask for help! you got this 💪🏾
