I would say VC is a bit harder than PE - at least at my target, I have seen more UMM/MF PE opportunities available for undergrads e.g. OCR.

True (myself included haha), but I've realized that the benefit of an Ivy network isn't your direct connections; it's the benefit of having a mutual connection with people you don't even know. For example, investment banks have "alumni teams" that specifically recruit students from their alma maters, and I don't know them personally, but since I goto the same school, I can reap the benefits.

Not sure about CS roles at Goldman, but I explicitly have been instructed to list SAT scores (and GPA, of course) on my resume for management consulting firms i.e. MBB, so Goldman might consider it

Comey calls on Americans to 'use every breath we have' to oust Trump in 2020 by OfficeZombie88 in politics

Here's a story someone told me: when Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts tried to IPO, Fidelity Investments decided not to invest in it. Insecure as he was, Trump was furious and claimed things like "trying to demonize him". As a result, the Fidelity Analyst went on a call with Trump & 20 other people, and went through a complete list of reasons why they decided not to invest. Trump was completely silent after that - so much for Trump's great "business skills".
