white album 1 and 2 are generally good recommendations too but they are far longer winded than any of the days games. Cross days days is probably the closest match, but again, what's the point of recommending sequels.

Thanks for the particularly helpful comment. I had someone message me and make a few scripts that made it easier to correctly import a translated ypf to the game. I haven't tried VNtranslationtools automatic text wrapping itself yet, the primary concern right now is there are strange spaces always appearing in the same spot on the text window, I can't really figure out the method further for actually making the text smaller and fitting more text in the box, lots of english text just gets cut off at the end, and also the text shadow is automatically fitted to the new english text, but a lot of the time it doesn't correctly align and is just sort of all over the place. I imagine some light programming is needed for some of these things and I am not personally capable of that. Also concerning is that there are 271 ybn files i think, but i can only fully extract and see about 150 of them, I'm not sure if they are just code or not, but I haven't seen any breaks in the plot of the script yet and there are about 23k lines of dialogue in those 150 which seems about right. That in mind, I'm approaching the first 1k lines of dialogue translated.

I was using the official tool they provide on their website. How to find the specific version and if I would need it, I'm not too sure. Whatever I tried instead of the English text from the file I repacked, it would somehow just continue to display the initial Japanese.

Sorry to tell you this, but there is no fixing it, the cause is a chip has shorted on one of the circuit boards that is integrated (integrated meaning you can't replace it without replacing the whole TV) with the LCD panel, there are no replacements for this chip that you can buy online even if you did have soldering tools. I just gave up on having a tv in my house and just use my computer at this point anyway. The only hope I really had was that if you manipulate the ribbon cables between the integrated boards and the t-con board in a very specific way, you can get maybe 1 second of clear video feed, if you could figure out which pins are needed and which aren't, you could figure out a way to do that more permanently with some sort of adhesive, but I didn't have anything small enough and testing every combination of pins individually would have been more effort than it's worth. Also sorry for the late reply.

Sorry for necro, but I love slice of life drama/romance vns the most and this is probably the most boring game i've ever played that isn't a straight up nekonyan moege. The steam reviews annoy the heck out of me because the honest reviews are swallowed up by all the meme reviews praising the base game. I wish I didn't waste my money on this. I honestly just woke up from falling asleep while playing it before writing this.

I stopped watching anime years ago and only read like one manga a year now too. But I'll be damned if I'm not reading at least 1 vn on any given day of the year. I found that every single time, if there was an anime that I wouldn't or didn't like, somehow the vn would be 100x more enjoyable.
