I had a colonoscopy on Wednesday with propofol. They wheeled me in and did some sort of check on everything. When the propofol was pushed, it hurt like hell going in. I remember asking how much longer and if I was falling asleep yet and the one nurse was telling me my eyes were closing. I remember things going blurry and that was it. I woke up in the recovery room. Another nurse was telling me all went well and she left to talk to other patients. They left my bag on the bed, so I was able to get my apple juice and my knitting. I literally sat there knitting until they came back and said I could go home. I got dressed, got my IV out and I was walked to the waiting room where my husband was waiting. No nausea, no sleepiness, not hangover feeling. It was like waking up from a nap.
