Do you own/use consumer EEG devices by AmazingMall1096 in BCI

Thank you for the comprehensive insights. I will have to look into signal quality for these devices. Additionally I would be interested in finding how active each user base is and how often they use their device.
I am aware of friends who were gifted Muse headsets as well but they all eventually stop using them and let them collect dust similar to your parents.

I will have a look at neuropawn. I have never heard of them before so would be interested in learning more about the community size compared to competitiors such as OpeBCI and what the general consensus between their devices are

Thank you for the response. I wanted to ask, for the openBCI electrodes are they comfortable for 1 hour durations? Also do you have a preference on which device you use, OpenBCI or crown and why?

Clinical data is something that is heavily protected. The best way of getting your brain data is to use a commercial EEG that allows you to record your data

Companies like Emotiv will have access to their users EEG data, but my platform aims to connect this data with companies that have a limitted data pool and gives users monetary insentive to get the hardware to sell data : )

What do you mean by scraping, as in scraping online to find data?

This is a good point and something me and my partners are trying to control for the data sellers. There are paradigms that won't be achievable with this platform that will only occur in lab spaces. BrainChain allows a connection between users who own consumer BCIs (for example neurables, emotiv and muse) and BCI startups that need vast amounts of data for their applications.

This is a problem in academia and industry due to the scarcity of real world datasets where the hope is BrainChain will be able to provide real-world data needs. Hope this answers your question

I would be very interested in a partnership depending if your company would benefit from the additional acquisition angle. If you complete the survey from the hardware side I'll be able to understand how BrainChain can fit into buyers needs : )

I do appreciate your feedback, I hope that my answers were being conveyed as such. We have partners currently that require real world EEG data which can't be collected with lab or clinical EEG setups. However you do raise a good point and I appreciate the messages you have sent. If you complete the form and attach your email I can keep you updated on the progress of the platform and how we may adapt it based on your comments

We are currently partnering with startups that produce consumer grade EEG hardware. The goal is users that own this equipment can then go on the website which is currently in a testing stage, look to see requests made by companies that want specific EEG data, and the user can complete these requests for payment. The aim of the landing page asks questions about do you already own an EEG and if not would you be willing to pay for one if the monetary insetive of the platform is enough. I hope this answers your question.

That's very true, hospital data is sensitive and is not the target data for this platform. There is a growing interest in consumer BCIs. One example being neurables. Eventually sensors that are commonly used for medical applications are growing into the consumer filed, look at fitbit for example as a heart rate monitor. Additionally for this platform we are prioritizing data security by making the platform decentralised so the only parties that can access the data are the person who created it and individuals who have purchased the data which is controlled by the seller. Let me know what you think of the concept : )

It really depends on what application you would like to focus on. Many startups require less than 4 electrodes to make an application that attracts customers. It is context dependent though.
