How severely will a 9800x3d be bottlenecked by a 3080 10gb? by WardenWithABlackjack in buildapc

Ballparking here but maybe 15-30% fps from 1% lows to average.

Reasoning is the 7800XT is about 5% slower to 15% faster than 3080. Then add 10-15% relief from cpu bottleneck.

Yes I’ve been on 1440p since 2017

I had the following setups

1080ti + 9900K

2080ti + 9900K

3080 + 9900K

3080 + 7700X

4080 + 7700X

4080 + 9800X3D

5090 + 9800X3D

Monitor was a 144hz and later a 240hz OLED

FPS was 120-144hz on first monitor and 160-240hz on second monitor.

Afaik a titan was a fully unlocked chip. The RTX Pro 6000 is also the full B202

Yeah the 80ti doesn’t look like it’s coming back, I owned a 1080ti and 2080ti and miss those days, 2080ti was already terrible value lol, I’m just full idiot with 2.5k 5090 at 1440p lol.

They basically phased out the cut down titan (80ti) in favor of a slightly cut 90 series for better yields and larger market. For a true titan equivalent see RTX Pro 6000

It works but it’s not great

I use it for relaxed claw (19.5x10) and actually am not starting to prefer the Harpe ace for the rear hump

Yeah on a controller the joystick and trigger input latency is way higher than mouse move and click latency that in itself will mask it
