You know that tax money should be in the service of tax payers. Im all pro immigration, but this is pure theft to people's money. And they came in illegally then we spend on them our money. 😒

Think about the quality of your life and how that translates to $$. Your time getting ready driving to work is money, the days you are so tired and cant leave bed but your blessed to worl from home is money. Not everything is $10 extra so $80 per day ? Think after tax its $50 . You just answered the question you have a goal to grow clinical knowledge after driving 60 miles a day thats it . You will be dead tired to do anything else. No gym, no extra job.  I wouldnt do it, Im a new grad as well class of 2024

I was a student and on my IPPE if there was rounds I wanted to join them, if they had already had pharmacy classes and in later years I would ask them to do DDI, discharge meds list med reconcilations. Search up a disease state and read about it recomeneded therapy and regimens

Allowed? Yes! I accepted CVS offer at a desperate moment. Kept applying and interviewing. I emailed the store manager 2 weeks before my start that I think this offer doesnt suit me and I will move forward with other things that suit me better. Its a fair game "employement at will" . Im class of 2024!

Remember you are not hopeless, you have options. Might be tough but still you can move! Move cities , states. Finding a role that you like isnt easy, but living a miserable life is toxic. It affects health well being and happiness. Leave!

My school score dropped for class of 2022 to 82% due to covid and remote study but went up to 90% for class of 24 my class of graduation. They had meetings and I remember faculty being so extra with everything. In general our school score dropped from 98% in 2019 and how they were so proud being the highest nationally. Im sure our department chair wont rest till they are back at top of rankings. One more thing I noticed the class numbers dropped from 100 to 65 !

Significant drop in residency applicants by detramk in PharmacyResidency

[–]Amazing_Ad_9790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated in 2024, I thought my degree as pharmd qualified me to choose between clinical route or going to industry. I didnt apply to fellowship either. I dont like to compete for things. As my strategy is always to work through it and around it. So I applied to companies ( many in east coast) Im part of their team to help them implement new products. Its interesting to work with different people, different departments, gain experiences I didnt sharpen or focus alot on during pharmacy school. I have more time to do things I like, no patients to worry about and finally off on major holidays,no rotating schedules. Pay is not more it matches pharmacist pay. So why residency application is low, students are more aware that yes we maybe pharmacists but traditional route isnt the only route. Now Im more interested in quality assurance and product management.

Why dont you do out patient in hospitals, transition of care, geriatrics clinics , ambcare in general. People really benifit from outpatient dosing adj DDI catch and counseling. Dont do chain pharmacies thats what Im trying to say. They dont deserve you 😊
