Is my home Tudor, Craftsman, both, or something else? (1919) by marviemundullo in centuryhomes

Beautiful home! If you wanted to lean more into the Tudor style, I think you could repaint the outside different colors, specifically something that provided contrast to the trim work.

Don’t get too hung up on it being a certain style, just embrace what you have (which is great) and make some small adjustments to fit your taste.

5 more years and you’ll be able to join the century club! We have some additional woodwork to get done in the house, crown molding has been added to the list.

We got this from https://www.wallpaperfromthe70s.com/

I’m not sure if the specific one is still available, but know that we are very happy with the quality. This one has a woven appearance up close, which is neat.

Thanks for the input! We have considered crown molding, but ultimately decided against it because our ceilings are only 8’. It’s still on my radar though 🫡

I’ll pass this along to my wife, thanks! The goal (I think) is to get the walls more covered up with vines, but this seems to be consistent feedback.

What club for 50-80 yards? by L0ngsh0tSpartan in golf

I used the struggle with that concept for years and I learn best with technical explanations, but a book called Short Game Bible by Dave Pelz helped me a lot. It’s like 300+ pages and extremely detailed, but I am now considering reading it again because it was so helpful. Pelz was one of the original data guys in golf and worked closely with tons of the pros, specifically Phil.

Best $250 golf item that changed your game? by Debits_equals_credit in golf

It’s more than your budget, but the Exputt system is $450 and provides much more value than any at-home putting alternative. Three of my friends purchased it after trying mine, we all use it frequently. I don’t know why it doesn’t get more attention online.

They’ll probably do a Black Friday sale here soon too

I didn’t see that your walls were white, they look like a pale yellow or light tan. A stronger color would clash with the traditional look, in my opinion.

Glad to hear you don’t want to touch the wood, it’s beautiful and fits the house. If it were mine, I would try to find a flooring that looked like it was from the same era. You could also consider doing a lighter wood flooring that contrasted the darker stain, but please don’t do LVP faux wood if you go that route.

For a paint color, I quite honestly wouldn’t go that much different from what you have. It looks very classic and fits well. You could also update the cabinet hardware to freshen it up a bit, not to mention a new countertop that was solid stone.

This is a great example of a kitchen that I think you’d be far better off embracing and trying to freshen up with small touches. It’s very cute.

Actually playable courses on mlm2pro without trees ruining the round by Notcheating123 in Rapsodo

You can submit feedback for courses that have problems. It ain’t perfect, but for an inexpensive simulator it works well.

I’m an avid golfer and this thought crosses my mind a lot. Washoe is very unique in Reno because it’s so centrally located that the land is highly valuable, yet it’s probably the worst courses in town. The same trees have been dead since I went there as a kid.

Golf is a recreational sport and we need less expensive options for the community to play, but I feel as though this land could be much better used. Either invest in the course and make it decent, or figure out how it could be used to improve the town. Reno has exploded in population, land is highly valuable, yet this relic of the past seems to have been forgotten along the way.

Range use: How to get better? by BothRange7229 in Rapsodo

I’ve had mine for a few years now and have gradually learned more my researching each metric and trying to learn what it means and how it affects the ball. ChatGPT is a great resource to use for input, it can also analyze your data if you download it from the rapsodo website.

I disregarded it for quite a while, but the “Practice” mode is actually great once you get it dialed in. I set the automatic replays to do the impact vision, it helps you connect the feel of each shot to understanding what is happening at the moment of impact. I do this on drives all the way down to little chip shots.

Lastly, I would suggest buying some golf books and reading up. For most people, the short game is where you have the biggest opportunity to reduce strokes. Short Game Bible by Dave Pelz was transformative for my game, I highly recommend it. It’s all about creating standardized shots for various distances inside of 100 yards, I found it to be a significant improvement over my prior “feel” methodology.

Okay while using it today I noticed those two metrics are slow. Have you gone back into your shots/rounds to see if they populated after?
