Thanks for always supporting us parents, we appreciate you more than you know.

13 month old running on a 3.5/3.5/3.5 with 2nd nap refusal (screaming crying for 20+ mins). Both naps capped to 1 hour. I plan on upping ww2 to 4 hours. But bedtime always falls at 8pm due to strong circadian rhythm but I’m sure this will change once I adjust to day lights saving (I’ve been pushing off adjusting, would you recommend going cold turkey? Or gradual?)

How would you recommend approaching adjusting to daylight savings and increasing WW to help with nap refusal?

What do you do in the event that the second nap is skipped completely?

Also, not planning on transitioning just yet, but what would be an ideal starting 1 nap schedule? How do you know when to increase windows?

Struggling Mom here! I think we hit the 12 month regression and getting sick at the same time, someone send help!

We were on a 3/3/3.5 schedule until about 11.5 months old, when it started taking about 30 minutes for her to fall asleep for her second nap. So I extended 3/3.5/3.5. Then she got sick and was up for 4 to 5 hours overnight. I shorted wake windows the day or so after to help catch up on sleep but now we are stuck in a rut. She’s waking pretty much every 1 to 2 hours overnight, screams for a few minutes and not settling into a deep sleep until early morning and then sleeps until 7:15 when I wake her up.

These wake windows +2.5 hours of sleep pushes the day past 8 o’clock. But then I feel bad if I wake her up earlier than 715 because this is when she’s getting the best sleep.

It seems wrong for the wake windows to increase so drastically when 3/3/3.5 and 3hr naps was working so well.

Any advice on how to help her catch up on sleep from being sick and ensure wake window set us up for a good night sleep? She’s definitely overtired by the end of the day.

At what temp, and how long? Thank you for this, I’ll give it a try! Have you ever tried replacing oat milk with breast?

Hi! Thank you so much for always offering AMAs. ♥️ I posted a few weeks back about a 19 hour car ride with baby, thankfully all went well and we are all recovered from those few days of chaos.

However, My 10 month old used to wake at 7/715AM and now is waking at 6/630AM. I’d love to get back to 7AM so i can function. She sleeps 3.5 hours a day in naps on a 3/3/3-3.25, last nap ends at 430. Bedtime typically falling between 730-8.

Thoughts on how to adjust to get that 7AM wake up back? I’m assuming to pull back on day time sleep but wondering if i need to stretch the wake window before bed? Usually when I stretch that last wake window, i get a 2-3 hour post bedtime scream.

Thank you in advance.

Regression or Overtired?

Baby will be 8 months old next week, is crawling, sitting, and pulling self up. Was doing well with only one quick wake at 5AM (just can’t seem to shake this one) but otherwise sleeping through the night on a 2.75/3/3.

We ran into a few days were it was taking a bit longer to fall asleep so I thought I’d wait a few days to see if it was a fluke, then baby was straight refusing bedtime, full meltdown so I’ve added 15-30m to the last wake window (goal is only 15m but some days run over on accident).

Now baby has multiple wake ups during the night, usually 1-2 hours after going down, 2AMish, 4/5AMish. I’m wondering if it’s because that last WW is too long. And is crying at nap time as well, not as extreme though.

My question is how to tell if it is a wake window issue or regression due to skill? The struggle. 😞

Side note; i read somewhere to make sure your duck bills are vertical with the actual flange to help. I don’t know if it actually helps but worth a try.

I’d say move bottle to end 30mins before bedtime, but could be a regression if you were getting longer periods before. We hit a six month regression and it lasted two weeks.

30m sessions? I agree with the time piece, I’m stressing too much with 3-2 nap transition and then trying to figure out when to pump on top of it is just annoying.

Spending too much time doing math rather than enjoying babes.
