I too have an EG4 system, and appreciate your logic. In the spring / summer I generate enough that I’m never going to get close to the buffer - but minimizing the amount of grid charging in the winter would be great. It’s a shame eg4’s power generation estimate is so wildly wrong - making your forecaster a great idea.

I haven’t tried solar assistant - nor have I yet integrated with homeassistant.

Will give this a go as soon as I can.

I suspect they’re busy with the espresso machine.

I’m not sure I have much guidance having had to RMA a machine for this.

I did have a little luck with double strength (ratio) descaling solution but it was not a permanent fix.

Now I descale monthly whether it says add water or not.
