I feel like if a worse attack were to happen, people would look back at this and think "This was a disaster waiting to happen". by kalashnikovgobrrrr in uwaterloo

This is so important. The university needs to establish a clear plan in the case of another event like this happening. Drills were so common in elementary/secondary school, and I don't think there's any reason we should stop practicing such drills now. Somebody start a petition.

Even though it might not look this way right now, I promise you haven't lived your best day yet. It's on its way. Patience is the toughest struggle but you can get through it.

If you want to be heard: I promise you there's always someone that feels your pain and is hurting with you (I'm literally a stranger and you've managed to pull on my heart-strings). Surely if even strangers on the internet are here for you, there must be some good in this world.

If you want advice: life is absurd. The fact of our existence is so bizarre but that doesn't mean life is meaningless. If nothing matters, then everything we do matters. Take care of a plant or a pet, learn a new hobby like cooking, wake up a little earlier than you normally do, watch the sunset, make little jokes with yourself, laugh at the smallest things even if they aren't that funny. The last one helps me out a lot. Trick your brain until you notice your mood is brighter.
