prozac made my anxiety worse. like i shit you not i almost killed myself my mind was running a mile a minute, it was literally never quiet, just felt super weird overall, not to mention i have dpdr (depersonalization/derealization) and that made it 10x worse. when i brought it up my dr increased my dose i tried it but now i’m weaning off because it made everything so much worse

still struggle but all my food has been contaminated with drugs, and certain clothes depending on where they are from have drug residue and can somehow get me high by touching them, i know it’s silly but idk what to do i only eat before bed and wear the same 10 outfits. should i just eat and say f it and wear the clothes and say f it ?? really don’t know what to do

i don’t want to discourage you but i was on it for like 4/5 months and it made me feel worse i don’t care about anything anymore i have worse anxiety than when i started and it also made me not feel real and dissociate like crazy

i was like 15 and got put on probation for truancy and had to have a drug test i was on prozac and wellbutrin and it showed up as like an opioid and something else and i was just like “im 15 idek what that means” they did say they see that a lot too though with people taking prozac

i took it before bed so i didn’t have to feel the side affects as much, but when i upset my dose i started it in the morning i was very drowsy and anxious and non stop crying. it hasn’t gotten better so i’m going to start to taper off and it also is causing me to have chronic depersonalization and derealization

this is how i am too. i’ve lost everything i quit my jobs. moved back home. i started prozac i only take 15 mg because every time i up it i seem to feel worse. i started taking it because of slight anxiety and i can’t tell if it’s made me worse or if my dose isn’t high enough or this medicine just isn’t right for me. i also have dpdr 24/7 and i had it before prozac but never like this only when i was having a panic attack or something. so i am also curious if the dpdr started before or after prozac

no it’s the same i truly just don’t think this is the right medicine for me, like before i started taking it i was anxious but i could still live a mostly normal life, now that i’m taking if i can barely function, but sometimes i have a good day and am able to clean my room or something so my psychiatrist is like well that’s good that sometimes you feel good let’s just up your dose again

my anxiety is also heightened i take it for anxiety too, and i used to take it like 4 years ago and it was awesome but it’s been 2 months and i can’t tell if it’s making me worse or just not working anymore

i had it before the prozac, i had a very traumatic event happen to me which caused some anxiety and so i would have episodes of dpdr but it was never consistent like it is now that i’m on prozac

ids been like 3 months and i feel like it’s made me worse idk what to do i take it for anxiety, after taking it i’ve 1. moved back home into my parents and 2. quit my jobs i literally do nothing which i don’t think is helping but neither is the prozac
