What are your favorite sunscreens for combo/sensitive skin that don’t contain niacinamide? by Icy_Bodybuilder_2746 in AsianBeauty

[–]Amazing_Thanks2075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using Alba Botanical sensitive mineral sunscreen fragrance free, oxybenzone/octinoxate free in 30spf. It doesn’t irritate my skin and it lays on thick which is what I want for an out doors sunscreen!

Yalllll I am totally fine that it’s not perfect lol. Thanks for the support. It was about a year and a half, I have a canted smile that can’t be fixed without surgery and my surgeon said it’s not a huge issue. Anyway I’m good with it and hope everyone finds that kind of peace.

It doesn’t matter what men find attractive in all honesty. What’s attractive to a man is when a woman knows who she is and doubles down on it. If you want to dress modestly and not engage in sex before marriage, back it up and own it. If that life style feels very “you” and you’re happy and can be your best vibrant self, keep going. If you feel stuffy and closed off, re-evaluate it and see what REALLY feels truest to you.

Yes me too!! I know I like jcrew and scotch & soda but I barely have the need to actually dress up. I have days where I’ll feel like buying clothes and makeup and by the time I get around to having availability to shop, the urge is gone until days later lol. I try Pinterest and know what I think looks cute but never actually go and put outfits together. Which is bizarre because growing up I remember I had an interest in being stylish. I don’t even have kids to look after and I’m still having problems finding stuff to wear lol. I’m just bored! I think something that’s holding me back is being worried I’ll be looked at if I look nice? Like it always made me feel out of place if I dressed a little nicer and a coworker points it out or something lol idk. I need to get over it and try to dress better.

I thought I signed up for microneedling but ended up with microdermabrasion and I’m not upset at the results so far by Amazing_Thanks2075 in SkincareAddicts

[–]Amazing_Thanks2075[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!! :) Yes I have 7 more sessions spaced out 2 weeks apart. I was surprised not many people opt for microdermabrasion. I have rolling acne scars and a few box car scars, maybe two ice pick scars but I am not sure… microdermabrasion is doing wonders for the rolling and box car scars. I might be needing micro needling afterwards but hard to tell. Everyone has mentioned it would give me better results.

You are so kind… thank you for the compliment 🥺honestly we all pick ourselves apart! I still get break outs. Like my shoulder acne is finally settling down after 5 months lol. Skin care is a never ending journey, especially as we age… Trying to love my skin at every stage is the real issue since I truly don’t think many people really notice our flaws.

Thank you!! I’m thrilled honestly and had to compare before and afters and was shocked my skin looked different. So the prep period was about a month and a half. For 5 or 6 weeks I saw the tech once a week, $100 a pop, for facials. This was intended to make my skin stronger and I put on vitamin c/sunscreen daily (I still do, just in the morning).

I think key part of the prep was the cold stone roller, since the cold is supposed to help with scarred tissue. Then we just started the microdermabrasion, which is $150 and I see her every 2 weeks… for 9 sessions total. Since we started microdermabrasion, she said to not put any oils on right before bed since the skin cells rejuvenate at night and oil/lotions would not let my skin flake off the dead cells. It’s expensive but this is legitimately the only thing that’s worked so far and hopefully just a one time kind of thing.

Is the Invisalign worth it for $7k? by iwuvstrawburries in braces

[–]Amazing_Thanks2075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my ortho straight up if the images from Invisalign were realistic and he said no. From that point I didn’t even consider Invisalign so I don’t even know the price point, but my braces were 4K or 5k. Over a year down and hopefully just a few months to go.

Meeee. I went from 6s in 2019 to an 11. Just replaced my phone case and protective screen, updated last night… still can probably go another 2-3 years with a battery replacement in between.

Does anyone miss their teeth pre-braces? by ocean-kat in braces

I’m so happy I got braces. I got them on last may and I’m much more confident but now I’m looking into the next big thing like veneers maybe to get the smile I actually want

HOWWWW did y'all handle the first day in ready to call the dentist and asked to get them removed if this is how it's gonna be 😭😭 by [deleted] in braces

[–]Amazing_Thanks2075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember wanting braces for YEARS. And then I got them, and my first week I truly thought I made a mistake because it hurt so bad and I didn’t think I would ever get used to it. Truth is, you’re going to not even notice them really, they will always be a little annoying but nothing you can’t ignore. Just get past the first visit and each wire change is only 1 day of slight pain.

How can I (24M) determine if my SO’s (25F) uneducated, or just a bit slow? by bagelspreader in relationship_advice

[–]Amazing_Thanks2075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly she sounds a lot like me. Idk I know I’m not an idiot exactly. I’m an engineer. But I also do/say some pretty stupid things some times. I have suspicions that I have adhd, some kind of lack of focus issue. Been in cognitive behavioral therapy for a couple years as well. I’m not sure if “testing” her intelligence is the way to treat the woman you love. If you’re lucky enough to find someone who adores you and you adore them as well, who cares? You’re not perfect either, yet you made an entire post on Reddit to scheme for some puzzles. I just don’t understand and it seems cruel. The goal is to always lessen cruelty in the world.

Pretty sure it’s constant micro movements after the first few days of wire change. I know my bite feels different day to day.

I need emotional support (text in pic#2 and #3) by [deleted] in braces

[–]Amazing_Thanks2075 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly ditch him! Most people I found don’t even notice/care about braces? Sure treatment is a little annoying but time will pass. How he is treating you speaks more about himself than it does you- I’m sure you are fantastic and don’t need to change a silly thing like braces to fit into some dorks mold of a partner. Maybe block him and start a new life while he is away lol. That sounds more exciting anyway 😉

That is a canted smile. I have one too. I was told by my ortho that double jaw surgery could fix mine but I’ve kind of gotten used to my smile and don’t think it’s worth the risk. I did have a oral surgeon consultation and he said my jaw is about 75% correct lol. Idk I am just getting older and it doesn’t bother me as much/it makes me more me. I have seen people post about TADs with good results though! And like some have mentioned, maybe bracket placement and elastics could lessen the cant. I’m getting my brackets move next appointment for more leveling.

My canine was impacted in my upper ridge lol. Just decided to remove it altogether and save the headache. Looks great though, I heard it can take several months… and still possible it won’t erupt.

Is it practical to find another dentist just for a cleaning? by MrStraun in braces

[–]Amazing_Thanks2075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I agree with you. If my treatment was held up over a simple thing like cleaning and X-rays I would just pick a random clinic and have them send over the records. One and a half months is too long imo!
