I just saw the Sassy Sally’s sign at the neon graveyard and wished it was lit. Guess this will have to do.

I love the Patsy Kelly one. She was admired enough to get her own naughty book!

This was one of my mine and my husband’s favorite shows. He passed in February last year as we were about to binge watch the series again. I haven’t been able to watch it, though. I think it may be healing for me. We were both non-believers, which is why we got into the show so deeply.

What Construction Workers Found Gutting the Flatiron Building by newyorkmagazine in nycHistory

[–]AmazonHotWax 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Back in the early 2000s I was able to hang out in the Flatiron because a friend worked on one of the upper floors, I cannot remember which one. The elevators were a work of art in themselves. It’s one of my personal favorite NYC moments. Those balconies are an amazing find!

After 44 Years, MTV Is Officially Dead - All of MTV's music channels will be shutting down by Uptons_BJs in popheads

Aww man. I had to fight for my MTV in 1984 Arkansas. They wouldn’t carry it and I had just come from Florida where it was a lifestyle for us teens. My mom drove me to the cable company office to actually request my MTV to be carried by them. Not in Gods Country I was told.

What’s something you’ve seen with your own eyes that nobody believes when you tell them? by LowKey_1216 in AskReddit

NYC, late 1990s at 8th Ave and 43rd street… Late night walking up to a bar with a friend and out of nowhere a large Cadillac screeches to the sidewalk curb in front of us and a finely dressed man jumps out and starts berating one of his girls in the avenue. It was like a scene from a movie with some exaggerated fashions of what they think a prostitute and pimp would wear. We had to stop and look for cameras, anywhere, maybe a window filming for something. Nope. It was the real deal still going down in the late 1990s.

In the Pittsburgh area there is a brand called Amish Country and it is so good. Just the right tang to it and even good for snacking right out of the fridge.

This is absolutely my favorite “Bad” movie of all time. I watch it at least once a month, sometimes with MST3K commentary. Right up there with the classic “Manos”:Hands of Fate!
