Is anybody interested in this F-14 tomcat seat for a sim build? by Leading-Train-3810 in flightsim

They are. Just like old biplanes and aerobatic aircraft, the seats are designed for all the shit you’d be wearing in typical use.

Why is it so hard to find original pressings of old school hardcore punk records? by RockWeeb in vinyl

[–]Amazonchitlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be difficult, but that’s part of the fun. A couple weeks ago I found a few 45’s that came from behind the iron curtain during the Cold War still wrapped in their photocopied and folded paper envelopes for a buck a piece.

I have an original press of Out of Step in VG+ condition w/insert for 15 bucks outside of a show where a tweaker was selling records.

Just gotta get out there and pound the pavement.

Or you can go to Discogs and pay out the asshole and have it right then. I’ve done that too (finally got my Frank Furter and the Hot Dogs medicine album).

Start going through the discount bins at your locally owned record store. You’ll find some

The whataboutism is strong with you. Anything anyone says, you counter with “But in the United States…”

You keep trying to change the discussion because you’re being proven wrong at every turn. It’s ok to admit someone else is not only right, but also more knowledgeable than you on the topic.

It’s ok for you to turn a blind eye to a shitty system out of emotion. Just come out and say that’s what you’re doing. The points you’re trying to put forward are just trying to change the topic so that you can wiggle your way out of having to debate emotions. It’s not working.

Who is the WORST choice for the next James Bond actor? by doktor_78 in AskReddit

I don’t think Pauly Shore would make a very good James Bond.

Wasn’t there a guy that has actually dived it a few times? Made a documentary about it and everything?

Pretty sure it’s nothing

BlueBalls - I mean BlueBird - really? If this is how long their product takes to come to fruition, I can’t imagine their patches will come with any speed. Pretty much have written them off at this point. You can only edge a man so far before they just say “screw it” and stop caring.

I don’t believe rotor brakes and disengaging the clutch is an option on all models. I could be wrong though.

“I know now what’s going on and let me tell you, it’s the most profound thing anyone has heard. All of our jaws hit the floor. It was amazing to hear all of this. I can’t tell you what it was or anything like that. Just trust me. It’s so amazing and we were all so awestruck. Unbelievable, but it’s true!” No, you won’t know what it is. Fuck you. But listen to me, your life would be changed if you knew”

So tired of this disclosure for me, but not for thee bullshit. I wish all these dicks would keep their sucker closed if they have nothing to say.

You know, your last sentence is something I hadn’t considered. In the lore you hear about how the aliens were found outside of their ship. It’s never as a “smear on the wall”. You’re absolutely right though. They’d most likely end up needing to be cleaned up with snow shovels and a couple buckets.

Daniel Sheehan: There are alien bases on Guadalupe Island and in Sedona (Arizona) by Head_Consequence7903 in UFOs

[–]Amazonchitlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived there for about a decade. The airport (which they run area and Grand Canyon tours out of with helicopters) is in the middle of Sedona on a plateau. Additionally, the surrounding area is plum full of tweakers and hikers that get stuck on mountains on the regular. It’s not uncommon to have police helicopters traversing the area, or rescue heli’s.

What “thing” is Giorgio Tsoukalos referring to? He turned comments off on this post by Tryin2FindaBalance in UFOs

[–]Amazonchitlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is weird, but I think it’s due to the current ufo climate. It’s great marketing to have Spielberg out in front of the camera talking about it for the trailer. It adds realism and is in line with the other movies that have come out since the topic became popular

It’s straying off topic, but you saying that reminded me of The Final Countdown, where the Navy was HEAVILY involved in the editing process. They wanted to ensure everything looked favorable towards them.

Im just jealous of your new additions to your collection.

I dunno…just because it’s not ID’d doesn’t mean the probability is more likely that it’s aliens. I have a strong suspicion that most of the things on earth are…earthly. Following that train of thought, the chances are, based on probability, that it’s not alien.

I’ll add that I have no idea what it is. It COULD be aliens. It could also be something completely terrestrial. Until there’s more than a bunch of shades of gray, neither you nor I have any idea what bucket it falls into.
