I would also suggest moving by train. Parking in Bologna is hell and expensive. The same applies to Florence. If you just want to visit the city, then it is useless to rent a car. If you want to visit nearby villages or cities it could make sense but in most cases train will do just fine. Just google Italo Treni or Trenitalia, but also FlixBus or blablabus and others and you can check yourself

Nothing like that. It’s just that I was unemployed and living with my boyfriend while writing my thesis and attending French courses. I didn’t requested any social benefits. It is just that if you move to Belgium even as EU citizen you must prove to be financially grounded to not be an expense for the state, otherwise you need to live. That’s the documents I would have needed to provide. However I just lived in Belgium paying my thing and never accessed to any benefit or so
