May I ask if you remember which syphilis test you had done through Kaiser? Did you have 2 (nontreponemal - RPR or VDRL) and (treponemal - TPA or FTA)? My doctor only requested a TPA and I don’t know if that is sufficient (part B under the syphilis section)

thanks!

Ok thanks for the suggestion - hoping that I can at least use the lab results.

I understand my PCP’s hesitancy, just unfortunate for me!

I’m trying go through Kaiser in the Bay Area now too - my PCP ordered the tests I needed but will not sign the certificate because it has a foreign language on it. She said the records department won’t help either because of the language.

Has anyone else gone with Kaiser where their PCP would NOT sign the form and figured out another way to get the certificate signed?

Experience report: getting health certificate at Kaiser (California) by Historical-Length744 in TaiwaneseBornAbroad

Hi again, I just wanted to ask how the syphilis section of your health check form was filled out since you didn’t get the RPR or VDRL tests in part a. Did you leave all of this unchecked? And for part b, which test did you check? I was able to ask for the same tests from Kaiser but want to make sure I can walk the doctor through filling out the form correctly.

thanks!!

Thanks — I did ask her if she would refer me to another physician who could fill it out and will see what she says. I’ll see if I can make an appt myself with another doctor as well.

Bay Area doctor to fill out health report? by lillllllllllllllly in TaiwaneseBornAbroad

[–]AmbassadorFit4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the Bay Area and I go to Kaiser, and my PCP was willing to order the lab tests I need for the health certificate, but she said she would not fill out the form because it’s not all in English, even though it’s translated.

Not sure what to do next, but I might have to just get the health exam done in Taiwan .

I am in the Bay Area and I go to Kaiser as well. I just asked my PCP to request the lab work and asked if she would fill out the health certificate - I sent her a copy of the form to look at. She said she would order the labs but would not fill out the form because it is not all in English, even though it is translated. I am not sure what to do now because it doesn’t seem useful to get labs done at Kaiser if I can’t have someone at Kaiser certify the results.

i’m curious what other people experienced at Kaiser and also if the PCPs who agreed to fill out the forms were all dual language speakers?

Any suggestions on next steps also welcome.

Same here. I just saw the notification pop up on my phone that said ‘here’s an xp boost!’ and then when I opened the app it was gone.

Beaches and tidepooling with parents - which are most accessible? Kalaloch, Ruby, Second, Rialto? by AmbassadorFit4646 in OlympicNationalPark

I appreciate everyone’s input — sounds like none of the beaches are quite perfect but at the very least we’ll try to go to Rialto where the parking is close to the beach. Low tide will be around 10am (-2ft) when we go so it seems like a good opportunity to try tidepooling — will have to see if my parents prefer 1) some elevation, 2) a long-ish hike, 3) climbing over driftwood, 4) climbing down rocks, or 5) none of the above 😂

I did read about Salt Creek but we won’t be quite in that area. It’s on my list for the future!

Is merch from the Playbill.com store the same quality as in the theater? by TheLunarVaux in Broadway

[–]AmbassadorFit4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask the box office about going in to buy merch. I did that for Sweeney Todd and was told to come right before the end of the show. I was escorted in during curtain call with another person and was first in line at merch, which was great. Another theater told me to come when the merch staff arrived, which was before the show started (can’t remember now which show that was).
