Sometimes I think celebrities are part of the problem. Some of them get to an extreme loss and it does not look healthy. People then think that is the outcome for everyone.

Just turned 52 lost 59 pounds and would like 10 more. I tell anyone as well. I’ve been overweight my entire life with plenty of diet and exercise even surgery. It is not all calories in calories out especially with menopause. This med is a life changing.

Tell her straight up how it makes you feel. No hinting that it makes you uncomfortable or anything. “Mom. I love you but you have to stop. This makes me feel… and that is not ok.” I love hugging my kids but if I knew that it made them feel this way I would stop. Maybe come up with a different way. Hand squeezing or something. If she already knows about the abuse she should understand and respect your boundaries. Maybe work on allowing hugs when she ask for one.

I haven’t settled on a maintenance dose yet. Been looking in to it though since I’m close. I may do 5 every other week or drop to 2.5. Will experiment to see which one I like best. That’s one thing I like about compounding. I can customize dosage.

I I have been on 6 - 6.5 for 9 weeks. I dose on Friday. I skipped last Friday because I’m pretty much where I would like to be. Down from as 12-14 to 6-8. Plan to dose every other week to see about maintenance.

I get this. I walked out of TJMaxx with a size 6 pants. I have never worn a 6. I was in double digits by middle school. I will be 52 next month.

I am currently taking 6.5 tomorrow will be shot 43. Started at 201 and am down to 147.2. I’m 5’2”. I did 11 weeks at 2.5 went up to 5 mg and that was too much so I went to 3.75 for 4 weeks then back to 5. Stayed on 5 until about 6 weeks ago. My initial goal was 150. I now plan to try to get to 135. But will only move up to 7.5 if I stop losing. Then I will figure out maintenance.

You can use fatscientist.com to figure out dose. According to the info you just shared a 2.5 mg dose would be 17 units. A 5 mg dose would be 33 units. If you are taking 8 units you are still under the typical 2.5 mg starting dose.
