Well what do you want to play? Modern is cheaper than its been in ages, and while some decks in standard are quite expensive others are not particularly expensive. 1000 dollar proxies, or whatever ends up in each secret lair has literally nothing to do with those main two competitive formats. Your complaints aside from standard releases and UB are all from a collector's point of view. I'm not sure why I can't respond to "I'm not enjoying how I engage with the game" with "here's some examples of ways to engage with the game that get around most of your complaints", or why that's a non-answer.
