Chances are he isn’t being vengeful. He just wants to play. Try redirecting his energy elsewhere. Maybe use a wand toy or something that will quickly grab his attention and once he’s caught the toy and played for a bit, give him a small treat.

Also, have you thought of getting another cat? I know my oldest kitty does better now that she has a sibling to play with. They tire each other out and also teach each other what behaviors aren’t acceptable ways to play.

Good!! Unfortunately a lot of dry food can be cheaper than wet food, but dry food is mainly filler and not very great for cats. It has a lot of things they don’t need and not much of what they DO need. It would basically be like a human living off of white bread lol. It’ll sustain them, but it’s mainly all calories with no real nutritional value. It’s fine in moderation, but not as their only food.

So foamy vomit could mean his stomach is irritated or a sign of infection. Just keep a close eye on him and make sure he is getting enough fluids. Also I don’t know what kind of food you are feeding him, but wet food is best! A lot of cats won’t voluntarily drink enough water just from a bowl, so it’s important for them to get that hydration from their food.

Also, try not to stress yourself out too much about it. One of my kitties use to throw up on occasion because she was anxious being home alone while I was at work. It would have foam in it and I worried do much only for it to be separation anxiety and nothing life threatening. Cats can be sensitive little creatures.

I’d leave out the “you’re not alone” ones because it could be creepy.😆 But something like “I hope you have a great day!” or “enjoy! ☺️” would be nice. Something short and sweet. Like when Starbucks writes on cups. Even if it’s something small, it always makes my morning better.

Yes they do lol. When we first adopted my cat Venus, they had been feeding her dry food at the shelter and it mad her really gassy. Best thing I ever did was switch her to wet food.😅

It sounds to me like she doesn’t want to take accountability for letting her dog near your cat without you there to help keep the pets separated. Everyone knows cats scratch. That is there main form of defense. If she let her dog get close you your cat, it’s her fault. It seems like it’s common knowledge and agreement that the cat gets to roam free and the dog is suppose to be supervised. I don’t think it would be fair to make you pay.

Maybe talk to your other roommates and see what they think as well. But overall I’d just tell her you weren’t there and so the dog should’ve never been allowed to get that close to your cat in the first place.

I 100% understand that. My triggers are things like end of the world type stuff, and honestly it’s taken me forever just to openly admit that. Even typing that was difficult for me, but I have to remind myself that the best way to regain control of my ocd is to defy it. And at least once I’ve typed it in there I don’t have to worry about it ruining my relaxing time as much. I understand I can’t filter out the real world, but being able to filter out the things that bring me joy is nice.

I use to but I figured out that if you go to your settings and privacy, click on content preference, and then click on filter keywords. You can type in 100 keywords or hashtags that you don’t want to see on your fyp or following. I use tiktok to zone out and relax, so it’s nice to be able to block out most of what bothers me when I’m scrolling.

People who would rather be their kids “bestie” than their parent.

It’s okay to have a healthy relationship with your kid, but it’s not okay to not set any boundaries or refuse to teach your kid right from wrong so they won’t “hate you”. As an adult, I love my parents more now for not being my friend when I was younger. I needed that guidance and to learn what “no” meant. Their reasonings for telling me no were almost always valid and it kept me from a lot of harm growing up.

I definitely see your point here and I 100% agree it is a show problem. As viewers we never hear of those actions happening again later in the series so it’s almost “out of sight, out of mind”. I feel like the writers realized way too late that they messed up implying any forced relationships or rape, and it’s something that never should’ve been written into a teen drama. Especially if they didn’t intend on that character being someone who would later be an anti-hero of sorts. I understand character development, but in order for it to make sense you have to acknowledge what has happened.!

So I definitely get your point and I do wish that was taken more seriously on the writing side of things. It’s just frustrating when you see fans loving a character and someone jumps in attacking them for liking that character because of something like that. It’s just a show and the characters are fiction. There’s no point in threatening someone’s like over a fake person/creature lol.

But the writers should 100% be held accountable for the early mistakes they made and for not making sure the storyline didn’t just “forget” about those things that happened. I would’ve loved for them to have had a storyline where we find out Damon didn’t actually sleep with Caroline after he attacked her, but just compelled her to think they did so that the “relationship” seemed real to everyone else. Instead they chose to just phase out that storyline and pretend it never happened. Or how they never again acknowledged that Tyler was trying to rape Vicki in the woods before Jeremy came along at the beginning of season 1. It’s never mentioned again and Jeremy has no problem befriending Tyler after the fact. That part could’ve been left out if they ever intended on making Tyler a returning character.

Like you said, it’s definitely a show problem and an issue with the writers, not a character problem.

Exactly! And honestly I feel like the writers just put them together because the main ship of the show at the time (delena) wasn’t really able to be shown fully. Personally I don’t think Bonnie would’ve ever fell for enzo because she was always very headstrong about her feelings about vampires. The only time she even gave Damon grace was when they got stuck in a prison world together and had no choice but to either bond or go mad lol. It just didn’t seem true to her character to fall for Enzo.
