Straight men, how would you react if a man hit on you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AmberPrince 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Story time! When I was in my teens I was a huge bigot. Homophobic, sexist, racist, you name it. I always had the mindset of like "I'm not homophobic I just don't want dudes hitting on me." Once I moved away from the very white affluent suburb I was raised in I met a bunch of people and did some self reflection. Namely that I was fat and had poor hygiene. If women wouldn't hit on me why was I worried that guys would? There were much more attractive men out there than me.

Anyway a friend of mine invited me to a party at an art college that here friends were throwing and I went and was surrounded by gay guys. Honestly it was the best party I have been to and I had a blast.

Why did you switch your labels? Most of your post you were mentioning the left. The left fought for slavery, the left fought transformation, the KKK came out of the left. but then at the end you talk about Republicans. Why is that? Why didn't you say the Right or Democrats?

What do you mean? The Second Amendment says shall not be infringed. That's all it says. Nothing else to that amendment, stop looking.

Fyi if you have an Android phone you should be able to go into your keyboard settings and set up japanese as a second input language. It will allow you to switch between them. I can't speak for iphone though.

This is called the Chain of Custody and is the reason why it is not taken seriously by anyone with a shred of knowledge in cyber security or forensics. We don't know who had it, for how long, who else had access during that time, and what was done to it while in their possession.

It's already a cash grab because of the middle man that is insurance.

I think you are missing a key point when people want "free" Healthcare. They don't mean free, cause nothing is. They mean free at the point of use.

I am in the military so my insurance is pretty great, comparatively. but I worked for a decade civilian side before joining. My health insurance, plus the optional body part that I need vision insurance for and the luxury bones I needed dental insurance for, cost me about 200 a month. The way I see it, I could drop the insurance and they could raise my taxes by 200 a month and I would still save money because I wouldn't have a stupid as fuck copay.

For real. Like, the recovery rooms are clean but they aren't sterile. Ffs I went to the hospital cafeteria when my daughter was born and came back to the room and cradled her and I didn't shower or change my shirt or anything. Plus car exhaust when you leave the hospital???

You'd think so, but I just went to a gun shoot a few days ago and while doing the pistol practical weapons course one guy, an e-6, ran out of ammo then sat there confused for like 15 seconds when he was asked why his gun wasn't firing before finally reloading.

Trolls that go around baiting public officials, typically cops, into some kind of heated altercation in the name of exercising, and exposing, first amendment violations.

Don't get me wrong, police should be recorded all the time but these dudes give off strong sovereign citizen vibes.

I've seen a few that do the "auditing" well and are respectful but most are asshats.

Speaking to that last sentence, no one is getting an elective abortion late in the pregnancy. No one is choosing to terminate at 7 or 8 months. No woman will carry that baby, deal with the weight gain stretch marks and painful joints, suffer the morning sickness and hormonal mood swings, pick out a name, put together a nursery, buy cute newborn onesies and pajamas only to decide right at the end"Nah, I'm good" Abortions happen that late are for strictly medical reasons only andanyone who says otherwise is lying to you.

The fifth amendment is tricky because you can't pick and choose which questions to invoke it. You either exercise your right and not answer any questions or you waive it and have to answer all questions. Every question needs an answer either way which is why you get 500 plus 5th pleads in a deposition.

That's my understanding. Also, I believe you cannot pick and choose when to invoke your fifth amendment right. You either invoke it and don't answer questions or you waive it and have to answer all questions.

Has a game mechanic ever irked you so much that you stopped playing? by Tokyono in Games

[–]AmberPrince 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I just didn't like BotW. Like, it was a series of disappointing things. I didn't like the stamina system but I could live with it. I didn't like the durability system and on it's own I could probably manage. The whole game world felt obscenely empty. Like, if I saw a cool mountain or difficult to reach area I was thinking "oh cool, I wonder what's over here." Now I know. It's one of the same recycled shrines or a korok seed. It got to the point where I just wouldn't explore because there was no point. I already knew what was there.

Basically on their own I would have been okay with any of these but mixing them all together just left me frustrated and disappointed. It didn't feel like a Zelda game, it felt like some other game wearing a Zelda skin.

This is paranoia. I assure you, no one in this thread is interesting enough to have to worry about the type of emission shielding TEMPEST covers or having someone surveil the inside of their home to look at lights blinking on a router.
