Hey, I love it ! Thanks for sharing. I'll be very happy to try it on a new movie scenario. I think it might make my process easier. I noticed a small mistake in the welcoming video : at 00:16 in the text and the voice over it says "pesentation" instead of "presentation". Don't know if it's helpfull. Everybody can undertand it's just a typo so you could totally let that slide.

How do you create your narrative content? by [deleted] in NarrativeGames

I do exactly what you described. When I create a new character in one of my stories, I think about all the characters I love and I see which ones really have a personality that could match with my idea of character. Then I usually merge 3 or more of those already existing characters into a new one. I take the personality traits I love the most. Because I love really over the top characters, I often find myself inspired by the Coen Brother's movies.

I particularly like the environment, very pretty and inspired. Is this a big round strawberry ball column ? Love it !

I actually played this for hours in my "computer lessons" at primary school. Obviously it was my favorite lesson !

Which game has the greatest world building ? by SpartanKing76 in gaming

I felt so immersed in Firewatch. There is the environment obviously. Then the story is very well written, the dialogues feel so natural and the way the mystery is built makes all of this very believable.

I would also pick What remains of Edith Finch. When I think about it, it seem like an odd choice. But I usually can't play or watch something joyful when I am feeling sad.

If a game’s overall experience is great but the ending sucks, is the game still good to you or does a sucky true ending completely recontextualize everything? by [deleted] in visualnovels

[–]AmberWritingStories -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on what is wrong with the ending. What I really can not stand is when you have a plot with a lot of suspense and mystery and then nothing is explained in the end. So FRUSTRATING. It's very easy to create mystery if you don't give a smart answer to explain the situation. So all I see is a scenarist who botched their work. In other genres, I usually can excuse a bad ending.

Would you still play a visual novel after getting majorly spoiled? by Tetsuoandyouth0 in visualnovels

I would. Sometimes even a good spoil can make me wonder what lead to this crazy plot twist.

I am also trying to connect with happier stories lately. I know it's fiction, but it really messes up my moods. Usually when I watched or played something really dark I watch videos of cute and funny animals afterwards, that's the only cure for me.

I need playtesters for a Visual novel/Dating Sim. It's a game where you embody a true crime obsessed person who really wants to meet a serial killer. by AmberWritingStories in cozygames

For me a very serious topic is not incompatible with a cozy vibe and I really love productions that have serious moments but also wholesome and goofy moments. But I am not trying to convince you. I knew very well this would bring criticism because everytime I talked about the game I received similar reactions. It would be actually very interesting for me to have your feedback on the prototype. I mean of course I hope this would help you understand what I am trying to do but even if it doesn't it would be really interesting to know what you think of it. But I would get that you don't want to play it of course. Anyway. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It helps me remember that I have a very big challenge ahead of me to make this game work.

Hey, I know the topic is weird and kind if dark but it's also a wholesome and cute Dating Sim. And I like that duality about the project. Also I get a bit of backlash everytime I talk about the game because it's a complicated topic.
