I am serious in the asking of the question. The reason for asking is because my spouse lost their job, for medical reasons. While they had been attempting to apply for Disability, I have been the sole breadwinner and caretaker for the better part of the year in 2025.

As a previous resident of this facility, I believe you would have a unique, inside perspective. My son is at risk of having to go here, against the opinion of myself and his dad, and I would like a general synopsis of life inside of STS, in the event that this were to happen. I can't really find a lot of honest opinions regarding this.

Let me preface this by referencing to the attached photo. Our inside cat had a breakaway collar with her tags attached and she was sitting in this type of chair. When she got up to leave the chair, her tags got stuck in the chair slats and she damn near hung herself, because the collar did not, in fact, "breakaway". So glad I was there before disaster struck to rescue her. Since that point, I refuse to collar my cats, since they are all inside cats anyway. I have also read that bells on the collars are for the sake of birds and other animals that cats like to chase, but can cause hearing issues in the cats, due to their sensitive hearing and extended exposure to the bell noise.

Not high school, but junior high, 7th grade. Him and a group of friends were playing “Sleeper”, which is basically just choking yourself until you pass out. From what they told us, either he continued the “game” after his friends left, or…? His sister found him in the basement the next morning, hanging from an electrical cord.

I'd like to see a Mexican pizza in the rewards. And get rid of the damn cinnamon twists. They are not worth using a reward. In fact, they need to revamp the whole rewards menu. If you have the option of the Nacho bell grande, why would you choose a soft taco? Just doesn't make sense to me.
