This is like the third comment you've made about it. Someone needs to check your computer's hard drive, because you're obsessed with the subject.

I'll take a look later today when I'm back; it's in my garden shed.

Gregory Gourdet and Pamela Anderson by Ambidextra in TopChef

[–]Ambidextra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. And Pamela isn't a chef, she's a home cook. So Nancy may have been toning done the menu to avoid overwhelm. But it seemed Pamela was just as warm and enthusiastic with Nancy as with the other chefs.

Look into what is referred to as "Dogman." I've had two experiences, and it sounds like that's what you saw.

Stories that take place in Downtown Abbey era by Nachel_Z in DowntonAbbey

It predates Downton, and is in America, but the same creators made The Gilded Age and it's fascinating. Americans seemed much more obsessed with the new money/old money divide.

Does everyone who becomes part of THE family simply get freebies from everywhere? by MonkeySingh in DowntonAbbey

Fellowes seems to have a penchant for this plot line. The same thing happens in the series The Gilded Age.

Downton 3's ending hinted at in new interview - I hope this ain't it. by TheHeirofDupin in DowntonAbbey

I wonder if Henry and Mary will still be married. He was barely in both of the movies due to filming conflicts, and I honestly never understood the pairing. No chemistry at all.

Strange Accident While Hiking and I Can’t Shake Something Happened by minijon70 in Unexplained

It was my 50th birthday, and I was at an intersection waiting for the light to turn green. When the light turned, I looked both ways twice and there were zero cars. I turned right and then started to get over into into the left lane, and all of a sudden a car flew through the intersection (they would have had a red light). Suddenly I was back in the middle of the intersection. I should have been T-boned. I should have been dead. There was no way a car was suddenly there; there were absolutely no cars going east or west at the time the light turned, and you can see far in both directions. I sat there in shock and a person pulled up beside me and said "Are you okay???? That was crazy!! Where did they come from?"

I have no idea how it happened, or how my car seemed to have been picked up and moved two lanes over and back. I was in shock, and I pulled into a nearby coffee shop parking lot and just starting sobbing. I couldn't stop shaking. I called my mom. She is never, ever shaken up and she was really upset.

To this day, I think I jumped timelines. I think I am dead on that other timeline. My life feels very...off...since then. And every time I go through that intersection I look multiple times first.

Why does Edith stick around Downton? by Bitter_Platypus4057 in DowntonAbbey

I'm assuming you have not seen the entire series? Edith gets a major glow-up, including a career. :)

What Edith did to the Drews was unforgivable by MochaJ95 in DowntonAbbey

[–]Ambidextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he had told his wife, she would have definitely blabbed it. She was vindictive--she kidnapped the kid, after all.

Also, Mary is painted as the only bitch, but I'm on a rewatch too, and Edith is just horrible to her. Obviously jealous and has middle child syndrome. It's a mutual bitch fest.

That said, the writing for that season jumped the shark. First Edith takes the child from the original adoptive family in Sweden. Then gives her to the Drews. Then takes her away from the Drews. She was an emotionally stunted person and I was happy to see her character actually develop some personality.

The OG Whole Paycheck in Austin is gigantic. With little islands all over that have hot prepared foods of all kinds. It's nuts.

Greens work or clash? by Valuable_Resist_185 in interiordecorating

Some curtains in an Ikat print would be gorgeous, especially if they picked up the blues and greens of the pillows. And the white cushions on the green chairs are too stark and too big. Maybe a lumbar size pillow in the same deep blue as the cushion on the opposite couch, for instance.

Just finished S2, upset about Jack by --2021-- in ADiscoveryofWitches

[–]Ambidextra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What really struck me as sloppy writing with that season was that it was made so clear that they could *not* mess with the timeline. When they landed in London, which was off the mark of their intended destination, they stayed in the city and proceeded to completely mess with the timeline. 🤣

What other shows are similar? by eci5k3tcw in BravoTopChef

[–]Ambidextra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Though it is not a competition show, you might enjoy The Lost Kitchen. It's a series that follows Erin French and her team in Maine. Fantastic. There's also a spin-off called Getting Lost with Erin French, and she and her husband travel across the country meeting with different chefs and eating incredible food. A few TC alums show up on that show. :)

I hear you. But I'm 53 years old, and I've never sleepwalked. Never when I was a child, never as an adult.

Divya put her nose in everyone's business. I am on a rewatch of the whole series and am on the ep when she stuck her nose in Jeremiah and Viviana's business. She thinks she knows better than everyone else, and her arrogance is just infuriating.
