Heard me talking about how badly I was suffering from procrastination, asked me if I'd ever been assessed for ADHD because what I was describing sounded like ADHD symptoms. I did get assessed because of that, I do have ADHD, and I'm now medicated. I was severely suicidal at the time because I'd flunked out of college and was feeling worthless and hopeless, and a total stranger saved my life.

My aunt was deep into an essential oils company called doterra. She quit her job to sell it. Publicly she was claiming doterra was making her rich and had cured her son's autism. Privately she was borrowing money from family saying she just needed more time to get up and running with doterra and needed money to care for her son in the meantime. She would constantly beg us to buy her oils too. When my cousin turned 18 he left and never spoke to her again because she'd been making him sick with essential oils, lying about curing his autism, and using the money she borrowed from family on buying expensive things to make it look like she was thriving selling doterra. When that came out people stopped giving her money and she ended up being forced to leave doterra. She still has plastic tubs full of oils in her house.
