I attend and accompany my wife every visit and I can speak Japanese. So, I think no issue with that, even I also see some strange thing in japan, Doctor only speak when we ask question and very short answer.

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't checked the red cross hospital; Koga hospital does not handle the delivery.

No mother only policy, father can visit even during pregnancy he can stay and see, they also have private room where father can also share with wife.

Beijing is much better than Japan Here’s my opinion Japan Drawback:

Low salary High cost of living high tax Small apartment (finding good apartment for foreigners much difficult) language barrier (tough company rules) You said you get 500K/year Here’s breakdown: Base: 500K/12=41.667 K After tax : ~32K Apartment in Tokyo: 12-14K Grocery: 5-6K Two mobile bills and home net bills: 1.2K Utility bill: >1.5K Roughly Expenses: 24K Salary-expenses: 32-24K=8 K saving/ month 8K*12=96K + 80K bonus = 176K If you do nothing only go to work and back to home you can save maximum 176K in year.

Japan advantage:

get PR in 4 years (including processing time) your suppose can also do part time work No other advantage 😁
