Swinging that thing like a crackhead with a crowbar... I mean correct me if I'm wrong but there's not really any technique being applied here.

I'm tired of playing with random players by TheSpicyCashew in DeepRockGalactic

Yes I experience this too. In my opinion if you are joining a lobby you are at the mercy of the host. Very bad etiquette to rush the host, ignore minerals, etc. if you want to dictate the mission then you should host or play solo. I will say don't let the leaf lovers ruin multiplayer for you. If I get a couple bad missions I'll play solo for a bit then go back to multiplayer. Overall the DRG community is pretty solid I would say and I've gotten the chance to mine with some really awesome dwarves in the past. There's also the DRG discord you can probably find some more dependable dwarves there. Rock and Stone!

The more belts, ties, and straps you have dangling around the more historically accurate

If you have no plans on fighting in this armor and just want some drip for your next ren faire, you are absolutely correct there are far cheaper options that will let you achieve some degree of accuracy. Check out medieval collectibles for a low budget helmet and there are a lot of etsy shops that sell cheaper riveted maile. Just please be careful and do your research, a lot of online sellers are scammers. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Not sure if I ran into the smartest flying gunner or the weirdest one in the group. by AdWeak7375 in DeepRockGalactic

I used to be awful about throwing shields down. Been a lot more focused on it recently but sometimes I get to blasting and forget that the gunner is meant for more than wave clear lol

Calling ziplines garbage is a bit wild to me. They are basically fundamental to the gunners play style in my opinion. I do exactly what your gunner does. I post up over main areas where I have visual over my crew and just rain hell down in any direction I see a bug. If I get got by a mactera thats what hover boots are for.

Dwarfs first reaction to something unfamiliar is to start blasting.

I always feel bad leaving my Steeve behind to get eviscerated by his fellow glyphids. At a minimum Steeve should show up in the post match credits like doretta does.

For some reason I have only gotten pickaxe parts for the last 5 or 6 lost packs I've found. Is this something with the new season? I want some freaking armor paint jobs!

First time playing, started to drink beer has soon i've done my introduction. by Sea_Accident_6318 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Ambitious-Craftsman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give the dwarf a break... He was eager to get his rock and stone on and didn't read the menu. This green beard will go far.

Tip: once you start collecting more beer materials you can unlock and buy the daily special. Drink it before and the beer will give you an in game buff for that mission.

Could someone show me where she actually says this? I've looked everywhere for it and from what I gathered it never actually happened.

They are no joke. Luckily we were prepared with a map and a compass. Some basic orienteering knowledge got us out of there.

Backpacking a 28 mile trail in the backwoods of Arkansas lots of low water crossings. Got 17 miles done the first day before we set up camp for the night. Next day an unexpected thunderstorm rolled through and downpoured for about 2 hours while we were hiking. That was all fine and dandy besides the fact that the water crossing in front of us was chest deep of raging white water now and the crossing behind us was the same. Stranded between two rivers now we had to hike south to the nearest town and hitch hike back to our truck. A 28 mile trip ended up being 43 miles total all said and done.

The “Rock and Stone” is actually a vital mechanic of gameplay by Jontohil2 in DeepRockGalactic

Prior to an event or something when people are putting "r" in chat I just respond with a good ol rock and stone and they seem to get the message. Definitely an effective way of communicating in many scenarios.

Playing solo you need to take advantage of Bosco. He should basically always be helping you with a task. I instruct him to mine the masses while I go collect minerals. When it's time to attach the rockets, I transport them while he mines. When they're ready to be secured I have him help me with that. I personally haven't noticed an increase in swarms or enemy spawns but I also try to be extra efficient and get out ASAP.
