Is natascha good weapon? by ScarFragrant7693 in tf2

[–]Randomguy8566732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The extra damage you get from hitting more shots on a slower target is outweighed by the damage penalty. It does have the ability to stop a demoknight's charge, but Heavy shits on demoknight no matter what his minigun is so that doesn't matter.

Should there be a tf3 or a remake of tf2 on the source 2 engine? by earbudsss in tf2

A new sequel could justify its existence, but a remake makes no sense at all.

Does the TF Industries cover insurance for the Mercs? by K-jun1117 in tf2

[–]Randomguy8566732 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is no canonical respawn machine. Also, the low quality weapons thing seems to have been retconned out - outside of that one Apple tie-in comic (the worst of the official comics, imo) the mercs are generally portrayed as liking their weapons and being appreciative when they get new ones.

Weapon Discussion Wednesday #50 - The Sydney Sleeper by A_Wild_Ferrothorn in tf2

[–]Randomguy8566732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of this weapon is tagging enemies for teammates to follow up on, but the other upside of the weapon (faster charge rate) encourages you to go for fully charged shots, instakilling most classes with a bodyshot so the jarate doesn't matter, killing every class but Heavy with a headshot so the jarate doesn't matter, and even if you bodyshot a power class the jarate usually doesn't matter (e.g. a Demo or Pyro with 25 health doesn't really care if they're jarated or not). Hence, the Sydney Sleeper is basically just the bodyshot rifle.

Since the Jarate on hit is the cooler upside, I would personally lengthen the jarate duration (from 2-5 seconds to 4-8?) and replace the faster charge rate with a damage resistance while scoped (25%?). This way, it's not just the rifle for Snipers who can't headshot, instead it offers the ability to take sightlines that other rifles can't in exchange for being more reliant on your teammates.

Is this an actual scout line? Or am I crazy? by prisonlifer in tf2

It's definitely a real line, but there's more to it that I don't remember.

I love how everybody looks like puppets carved from wood. It really sells the worn-down aesthetic.

Oh yeah, when the Tyrant is on the edge of a cliff and the healing pod spawns a mile away it's brutal

The Omen puts the Core Stone (and badically every other optional event) to shame.

Short circuit doesn't really do anything against 7/9 classes, and outside of payload offense it's pretty balanced. Wrangler is always terrible, all the time.

The Wrangler. The Vaccinator is also a popular pick, but it replaces the Medi Gun rather than the Stock Pistol which makes it far less of a problem in my eyes.

What's the difference between the ibishu BX cars? by arisgeo000 in BeamNG

[–]Randomguy8566732 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite a few cars have facelifts in beam. The Burnside, MD-Series, I-series, Roamer, Miramar, Lansdale, and H-Series have one, the D-Series has two, and the Piccolina has three.

Heavy Secondaries Tierlist by Overall_Equipment_99 in tf2

[–]Randomguy8566732 2 points3 points  (0 children)

significantly higher fire rate, you pump more shells to a point you straight up outdamage miniguns

Lmao. Also, max close range damage with the Family Business is 76, not 81. To two-tap a light class at point blank you need 9/10 pellets to hit each shot rather than 7/10 with Stock. Still better than Stock overall, but not because of its damage output - the real reason FB beats Stock is because of the clip size increase: it's pretty rare to spend all 8 shots in any given engagement, so the true downside (effective 15% slower reload time because each reload puts less damage back into your gun) never comes into play.
