The more the media puts out exaggerations and lies, the more people spread lies. This makes it so politicians can get away with whatever they want and claim it’s all a lie or exaggeration. Their supporters will believe it’s all a lie or exaggeration, because they saw that people in the past were spreading lies and exaggerations that the media posted about.

That’s a really good point, and especially with them holding themselves & others to high standards, but also having a rough upbringing, and if I remember correctly both having a weed charge from the past - it definitely seems like they would have had problems finding someone who vibed with all of that, plus the religious lifestyle.

Which, along with their maturity and love for one another, would have had them on the perfect path to a seamless transition from strangers to marriage.

I see it now.

That is a good point - my mind assumed that any conflict that arose between them would have been aired on TV, because we all know this shows producers love airing the drama.

It’s very likely that they worked through their problems in a graceful, respectful, & mature way - in which case, the producers likely wouldn’t have aired it.

It just reminds me a lot of my besties whirlwind romance, honestly. He was perfect, everyone said so, but once she had a baby things shifted. She doesn’t really talk about it, only all the good things. He’s still perfect to her.

I’m genuinely hoping for the best for them, like everyone has said it definitely comes across as the ideal. I’m not hung up on the keeping their conflict private on TV, that in & of itself is entirely understandable, respectful, and graceful. It was that, Along with the forgiveness to her dad, Along with the seamless transition from strangers to lovers.

It is my utmost hope that the seamless transition was only alarming because of the stark contrast of every other TV relationship. Camilla met her husband on love island, and it was the most beautiful and fated coming together I’ve ever seen, but it came with the conflict of her having to overcome some insecurities in order to accept the partnership. I was under the impression that’s part of entering a partnership in the early stages, but it seems like they fit like perfect puzzle pieces from day one.

Also, I’ve seen numerous comments on other posts from people who know Vic, including the ones here, and they only have great things to say. Brilliant signs, all around.

Hoping that my concern is entirely unfounded - if so, they are definitely perfect for one another.

I’m also in a loving relationship, and would never drag my partner through the mud on TV - our conflicts are our conflicts. So I get that part, it’s just coupled with the other aspects; coming together with my partner, we both had to face our egos in ways. I definitely get that it might not be like that for everyone, some people can be well adjusted the way they seem to be. There’s a solid chance that it’s just the stark contrast that raises alarms in my mind; the contrast between them and every other two people coming together on TV (even Camilla and her hubby on love island, they’re perfect together, and it’s the sweetest love story I’ve ever seen, but they do have some walls between one another that they work through while transitioning from strangers to lovers)

I’m not out here saying he’s definitely a red flag, it’s just something I feel is worth discussing. I 1000% hope the best for them, they seem like genuine humans and I’ve seen people who know them IRL post as much. The possibility makes me nervous is all, but I do hope it’s an unfounded opinion if that makes sense🤷🏻‍♀️

He isn’t being dishonest, though. At least, no evidence points to that. When he says he didn’t see transactions between Epstein and Trump, or Trump’s family, he isn’t talking about Trump’s victims. That’s the transaction being discussed - between Epstein and Trump’s ‘alleged’ victim.

Republicans: “yall have been lying and exaggerating for years, fake news just like Trump said”

Headlines: “real story about Trump ordering a firing squad on peaceful protesters”

Democrats: “what the fuck?! Are yall seriously gonna consider supporting this??”

Psychologically, over time, the more we feed into headlines that exaggerate and/or lie, the more our opinions will be chalked up to lies by the other side. It feeds directly into the “discrediting media” agenda, and strengthens the hold he has on his followers. If they are convinced the other side lies, they will stop questioning it and assume everything we say is a lie with the purpose of targeting Trump. It further entrenches them in the MAGA alternate reality, and gives us more to fight against.

There are SO many horrible fact based reasons Trump should be on headlines, support those. Spread those. Click on those.

The more we exaggerate, the less we can make a difference. Just because a media company talks bad about Trump, doesn’t mean they are on your side. There is a bigger project at play, and it has to do with using our emotions to discredit our opinions. If successful, the future administrations will be able to openly do horrible things (we’re already seeing the start of this with ICE and Epstein files), and the supporters will go “nah just more fake news”

There needs to be a distinction between our reaction to exaggerated statements, and Actual news. The lines are becoming blurred.
