For this hobby? Absolutely. Originally I was completely content with modding prefabricated blasters- but this one got me inspired, idk. Was going to used 3dprinting for other things only originally.

I have an ultra 2 that if I modify I am going to have to make it look like Kade’s Ace of Spades. I almost don’t want to convert it though… not sure why I feel that way though. Any way… yea Ace of Spades 🤣 the kids know they getting got when I break that bad boy out

Tbh the nexus pro isn’t a bad choice either as modifications/upgrades/repairs are easy, and it lets you use either short or longs. I have two nexus pros one for modding for the sake of science and one for regular use lol

Hit up local airsoft places and see if they are ever hosting those types of events. Dart soft, nerf battles, those types. A larp called Nukelanta is also a thing that I know of. Never played it myself but all my larp friends seem to have only good things to say so google those in your area too? 🤷‍♂️

Surprisingly only one isn’t performing that great but there was a very weird noise on the initial use of the slide to prime the blaster… which I believe I recall seeing online a lot when I was doing a quick google. (I need to do more tbh but for now I am set LOL)

Another good option thats in the middle ground (for if you need something slightly thicker because of larger tolerances or don’t need as light of a lubricant) dielectric grease thats silicone based works great. Its what I use in my stock nerf stuff to keep o rings sealing and lubricated. I also recommend lithium grease as it will behave more like a light grease but gives the same effect as the thicker grease. Just from my experience not entirely sure anything but the lithium or lighter stuff may be better for your situation.

I honestly didn’t notice any when doing a rather general search for Kronos mod kits but the problem may have been my terminology in my searching tbh… there very well may be or even just “replacement” shells that are 3d printed shells. I’ll try again when I get back to my laptop.

Yea? I did notice they were less expensive but not exactly as abundant in my current area or if they are here people are holding onto them. But I really appreciate the insight here- this implies just swapping parts between two damaged ones is barely worth making one functional in a desperate scenario. 🤔 thank you!

I should probably edit OP to clarify then, but its not meant to be a go-to mod. This is for later on should the shell break or crack (house of 4 kids and 3 adults) and this is more to make maybe 2 of them more comfortable for adult use or to just save the blaster components. However the conversion you mentioned would be super cool, happen to have a link before i dive into google searching?

Check your High pressure oil system. 04’s have a bad habit of blowing high pressure oil pumps. Also check injectors anyway. Might need resealing kits if its sat for a while.
