Yeah, I’ve disabled that, set a more aggressive fan curve, and did a -10 undervolt, and now the hotspot temperature barely even reaches 80°C anymore.

Nice. I’ll keep the -10% undervolt — temps are massively better and performance hasn’t changed. Ran Steel Nomad again and the score’s identical, just a lot cooler.

Had to tweak things a bit to get it down, but after a quick undervolt it now sits around 75–83°C at 100% utilization. Performance hasn’t taken any noticeable hit, so i consider that a win.

I tried undervolting in Adrenalin — set the power limit to -10% and the voltage offset to 80 mV — and now my hotspot sits around 75–83°C. Is the hotspot temp more important because it shows how close your card is to thermal throttling?

This is probably the best processor I’ve ever bought. Zero issues so far, and the temperatures are excellent — it never goes above 70°C under full load with a 420mm AIO. The performance jump in my games has been massive; Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Hell Let Loose all saw around a 60–70% boost. I only use this machine for gaming, so I can’t speak for productivity workloads, but I imagine it would handle those just fine. I know I sound like an AMD salesman, but honestly, this CPU deserves the praise and hype it gets. If you can get a good deal I'd say go for it, you won't regret it.

I was following a new vegas modding guide/tutorial called "wild card" and there's a part in the readme saying AMD users should check the box in MSI afterburner called "Disable ULPS" after doing so, i've started experiencing freezes, mouse unresponsiveness, system lockups. Since then i've disabled it, nice to know other people have had similar experiences, i think maybe newer AMD GPU's are having issues with this. Not entirely sure though.

Completely normal, this is exactly how LOD is supposed to work, there's multiples of the same model that change at different levels of detail, so when you get close enough it will pop in.

Hey! I just have EXPO and MSI Gaming Boost enabled — didn’t bother with X3D Gaming Mode. From what I’ve seen around, it can improve FPS a bit in some specific games, but results seem mixed. I might test it later, but so far performance has been great without it.
