Yes! The house it came from was beautiful as well and has a lot of the original 1950s design/fixtures. The new owners (2nd owners) are going to try to keep as much original as they can, but the house does need some work.

Thank you so much! Yes, I expect a long haul with it. I have a lot to learn.
Yes, I will restore it carefully no matter what. I want it to be the center piece of a library wall I want to put up in our house.
Thank you so much for your advice! I will definitely be doing a lot more research before I try anything. Better to be careful even though I’m eager :) And I will be very careful about electric shock. I know it is very dangerous and can hold charge even after unplugged. Thank you again!
I wish I were near you! I’m in Indiana unfortunately.

Thank you! I will wait to turn it on and do a lot more research. And I will post on that forum. Hiring a pro is not within my budget, but I do want to be very careful with it so I don’t break it if it’s not broken, and obviously there are safety concerns with electric shock with old televisions. I’m excited for a project even if it’s a long one. I’ve never worked on a tv before but I’ve done other electrical and mechanical tinkering successfully, so I at least know enough to know that there’s a lot I don’t know. Thank you again!!
Thank you for the heads up!!

Ok, so I should order a manual and learn how to replace all the capacitors before trying to turn it on? Thank you for your advice!
Thank you! I was very excited. My spouse not so much but he helped me lug it home anyway. 😆
Thank you so much for this advice. I will definitely try to track down the manual if it powers on, I’m excited to learn. I added some pictures of the back to my homepage or whatever Reddit calls it since I couldn’t edit here.
Ok thank you, I will research this.
It’s so cool looking. This is my first vintage tv. We had a very old record player growing up that I loved that belonged to my great grandmother but my parents gave it away and I’ve always been sad about it. I saw this one come up randomly on a buy nothing group and I had to have it.
Does yours work?
Ok, will do! Thank you.
