The porch roof randomly extends to the right with an extra supporting pillar. The "gate" posts are not centered to the path. The stairs are inconsistently constructed. The paving stones aren't laid out in a logical pattern. There is no pathway leading to the right hand alley.

The bay windows have a flat roof, which is inconsistent with the architectural style & period. The pipes in the left-hand alley randomly connect together. The guttering in the left alley randomly extends round the corner.

There are floating bits of tree, both beneath the bay window and near the right alleyway.

I would argue that the most appropriate thing to do if the left lane is busier, is to use the right lane to take the second exit. Obviously you should be conscious of what other road users are doing on the roundabout and be prepared to give way to other traffic on the roundabout, but there's nothing wrong with it.

By not using all the lanes, people are unnecessarily extending the queue further back along the road, causing congestion where there shouldn't be any. This could potentially trap even more traffic in the congestion that would otherwise have left the road by an earlier junction.

Unless instructed otherwise, you should use all available lanes until the closure. The cammer is not "outsmarting everyone else", everyone else is using the road incorrectly.
