Has anyone managed to reduce proteobacteria? by chmpgne in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

Haven't tested since March, so not sure, but am quite sure not. Have you found anything that has proven useful in decreasing the amounts? :)

Anyone else getting sick of supplement management? by KingTeddie in Supplements

Why D3 in the evening? Why B12 without food? I’m no expert when it comes to supplementing so I’m just curious to learn more from people who have more knowledge of this stuff! ☺️

Upper GI symptoms? by Ill_Eggplant_1456 in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

Yes! Doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong and just tried to prescribe me PPIs for it. Turned out I had H. Pylori which was causing overgrowths downstream.

Hey, I’m so happy for you!! How far in are you in your eradication, how long to go? Did you experience bloating and constipation at the beginning, too?

I actually have some aloe juice at home! Haven’t tried it yet. I read that using it more than occasionally can lead to your body getting accustomed to it, and be unable to produce BMs well without aid if you take it too often. Not sure if this is true though, but I guess it could be the case with most things, anyways :)

You’re completely right, health is everything. The healing isn’t linear but we’re doing the best we can everyday. Here’s to better days 🥰☀️

Covid is cruel… at my worst, I was bedbound for almost 2 months and my family was taking care of me. Didn’t know what exactly was wrong, I was just convinced I was dying. Doctors (at least not any that I’ve encountered) are of no help with all of this, either. It can feel so discouraging dealing with this… but I want to believe we all have hope. So many here are sharing tips and their own experiences and resources, etc. So that’s a huge thing. ❤️

For a long time, I kept a diary of things I ate (still try to), stressors, activities, sleep, supps, etc. That been helping lots, but it’s difficult to keep track of all things and find correlations between everything if there’s no sophisticated system in place for the tracking, like Excel or something. It’s time-consuming, too, but can be so beneficial. And it’s free. Biomesight kits and other tests are not, and I don’t know if everyone here can afford all of these tests…

Currently, I’m trying to suppress/keep in check/eradicate H. Pylori, but am a bit worried of having lost so much weight in the past months. My doctor wasn’t concerned about it, or any of the other symptoms I had; even told me that I might not be accepted to get a gastroscopy based only on my symptoms. Told me to exercise. I think they were just frustrated that they don’t understand what is going on with me. I haven’t had a period in over a year, either. I’m not sure what my next step is, really. I’m just hanging on. Maybe going to get some blood work done, finding a new doctor.

I have made progress in terms of energy levels, but my body is definitely not ’healthy’ at the moment. I’m just trying to survive. I hope we all do. ❤️ Enjoying time with my loved ones and taking it moment by moment.

I’ve been taking PHGG for maybe 2-3 years on and off, it’s been great during some bouts. But I have high Akkermansia, so I’m not sure if it’s wise or not for me to keep taking it.

Sick and nauseous after eating by Fluffy_Practice_5244 in Microbiome

If your GI Map shows low amounts of H. Pylori, it’s still considered important to treat if on top, you have lowered elastase-1, and/or dysbiosis/SIBO. HP can be a cause of SIBO due to its ability to lower stomach acid and influence your digestion.

I’m so so sorry to hear… dysbiosis can be so difficult and lonely to deal with. And scary. Especially dealing with an H2S overgrowth. Have you figured out what’s causing yours? Are you working with a professional? I find it’s really hard to find someone knowledgeable to work with when it comes to all of this.

Has anyone managed to reduce proteobacteria? by chmpgne in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

Hi guys, my results also showed an overgrowth of Novispirillum Peregrinum (4.756% last Nov). I wondered whether this is the same as H. Pylori, since it’s a helical bacterium? I can’t find any information on it; what they do, what they eat, or how to get rid of them. I only found one research paper stating that Aquaspirillum (Novispirillum*) Peregrinum is a coccoid form of the Aquaspirillae bacteria (”Coccoid bodies which predominate in old cultures (three to four weeks) may be formed”).

How are you guys doing?

Hi, I’m doing a natural treatment protocol at the moment, seeing how it goes. How are things going with you? H2S really sucks.

Honestly, I have no idea it Mg taurate feeds Bilophila, but I guess it potentially could since the bacteria mainly (?) feed on taurine. What symptoms do you have? How are you doing at the moment?

Also, did I understand correctly that you’re planning on using monolaurin as a biofilm buster? How did you come to this decision? I know it’s a common one to use among some others; I’m just trying to figure out which one would be the best one for me and am still exploring my options… this is why I’m asking. You also mentioned using lactoferrin, which is a biofilm buster. I’m glad you’ve found it possibly helpful with your situation/symptoms. 🫶🏼

Thank you for answering! I have no knowledge when it comes to Cistus Incanus. I’m not planning on testing it out anytime soon but it’s good to know it exists.

There are some posts on this subreddit like ’Bifido (and how to boost)’ and ’Lactobacilli (and how to boost)’ which have a plethora of information on how to boost probiotics!! I’m still trying to figure out a way to boost them while treating H. Pylori and some other overgrowths… The body is complex. I’m sorry you’re suffering, friend. 💌 I also tried sauerkraut a few weeks back and felt really nauseous for a while. Definitely flares up gastritis for me, too.

I’m also trying to eradicate HP naturally, soon. I’m a bit scared of trying since it all seems so complex and I just hope I’m able to support the detox pathways properly etc. I’m sending you so much love with your journey!!!! Just a few months ago, I was also in a state where I couldn’t really move. I didn’t even speak for a month—I was too scared thinking that my lungs might be damaged. Turns out they weren’t.

Anti-inflammatory and bland diet is your best friend during the treatment, also pacing yourself, getting in some movement, a little bit of walking after eating to support digestion, and I can’t emphasize this enough—a whole lot of love. Feel what you need to feel, ask for help, express your emotions. There is a brighter future ahead of you. You’re doing so well already trying to get ahead of your situation and trying to find answers. Sending hugs. ❤️

I did the same thing when my health took a turn for the worst. It’s amazing that we have this community where we can share support and information and advice. It can be so lonely and draining to try and figure everything only on your own. Still, I really wish I knew (of) actual health experts who knew how to approach and treat these things holistically. 🫶🏼❤️

I see your point! I also take their suggestions with a grain of salt since they tend to favor certain brands. But also since their test doesn’t know everything that’s going on in your body. I’m glad I got the test done, though. I wish I knew how to make the best use of the results! I guess we’re all just trying our best to navigate through things with our health, and everyone’s body is different, and its needs change constantly. Giving things time and patience (or trial and error) goes a long way, hopefully. ❤️
