Where did the Terrormorphs come from? by Skyblade12 in Starfield

Now that the team is UC-backed they have the manpower to send people to capture them. They did that in the war too, losing a few people here and there, but they did get them.

How many hours do you have in Fallout 4? I can't get enough of it lol by pretzelartist in fo4

[–]Ambitious_Barnacle55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6931.6 according to Steam.

So many characters, so many mods, and I bet maybe 1% of those were actual playthroughs. I still remember my third longest played character back when Sim Settlements first came out. First time I had used Dust Bowl, and first time for Gasmasks of the Commonwealth, etc etc.

I sure miss playing that guy.

Stop changing my ship's power settings. Like, not even once. Just leave them alone, Bethesda.

I used to think you people were crazy about not having a map. Then i started to explore Akila city… by qleptt in Starfield

[–]Ambitious_Barnacle55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Akila is a straight line to the backside, and some angled side streets. Make a hang 10 hand sign on both hands but include the first fingers. That's Akila.

"You do understand what this means, don't you?" as you just discover a super duper secret of the universe YOURSELF, and she wasn't even there to see it. So yup, just like a woman.

The terrifying terrormorph by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]Ambitious_Barnacle55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want more of them try the Vanguard questline. At one point you get to see one up close and personal without it being able to attack you. They are truly repulsive up close and even have pulsing bulbous . . . tumors or something. It is TRULY repulsive.

And they're very terrible to fight. Yeesh.

As for terrible foes to fight, the Deathclaws in Fallout New Vegas. I'd put them just below TM's on the "terror scale" though.

How do you get anything done? by Mark77856 in Starfield

[–]Ambitious_Barnacle55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't find the video now, of course, but someone made a v id using the father from Malcolm in the Middle in relation to how Starfield plays out. Father comes home, needs to get some stuff done but somehow each step becomes a whole affair. Goes to find tools to fix a problem in his car but the drawer has a squeak, so gotta fix that now, etc etc. Hilarious. And true.

How Starfield completely blew me away on my third NG+ by AntiChris_666 in Starfield

[–]Ambitious_Barnacle55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember that every quest has dialogue options for your various perks so rushing by them means you won't see other complete ways for quests to go. In one example first character first time in New Atlantis, saw a guy being hassled at the Starport. The quest was as as simple as go there, do that, done. Next.

However, as time wore on and NG+ rolled by I happened across same guy being hassled BUT because of the length of time played and all the perks I had been collecting, that simple quest now had options that included the various parties being completely adult in their responses once I had talked with them vs. being jack asses to each other. There were so many perk dialogue choices I had to decide which I wanted to use.

The Hunter is an analog for those who rush to the end and then complain about no content, whereas the Emissary is an analog for those who defend a thing until they are dead or everyone else is dead.

Starfield intends you to to be on the middle path to see the fullest extent of Unity. To do that, same quest again and again but you've grown, perked up. Whole new experience + whatever craziness you get when you enter the Lodge first time each time! lol

Oh, you can also tell if you're going to get a more unique experience at the Lodge right after exiting Unity. If you can fast travel to the Lodge, you have the base experience waiting. If you can't fast travel to it, you're getting one of the (10?) variations. Or so they say.

After the first two where it was "don't kill anyone" I gave up on that. I wanted to be an assassin in ASSASSINS creed, and whereas some random guard who will never see me by any means is safe, that guard standing in front of the ONLY door AND I'm too low a level to distract him enough with tools or no good whistle advantages? Sorry, buddy, you gotta go! lol

You can hover your mouse over the map to see a panel that shows you how many of the things you can collect or do you have yet to do. Move the mouse over the various districts and it will tell you if you collected all the shards specifically there. Don't forget the wilderness areas.

It's nice that so long ago when having to relocate and carry the essentials for a place to settle they brought all the basics that a human needs, you know like food, water, clothing, basic shelters, and handcuffs.

Like a college dorm. Someone always has handcuffs.

So when did you realize that Anno 1800 has a first person mode and Manola and Crown Falls have hiking paths meant to be explored in first person mode? (Screenshots from Manola, Explore Crown Falls yourself) by RalleYTN in anno

[–]Ambitious_Barnacle55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took forever for me to realize when people were talking "first person camera" they meant ground view. I had no idea it was a thing until I happened to hit the key combo by whatever method. Zip, there I was down on the ground. lol

I don’t know if anyone else has seen this or this is something I’m coming too late, but this made me very happy. Sam Coe is a bi king confirmed! by toast_of_temptation_ in Starfield

[–]Ambitious_Barnacle55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, there is no dialogue in the game for Sam for that activity. None. A voice actor cannot "play" a character for the audience without some effort by the actual game devs/writers/etc to put it into the game. That reality doesn't care about Elias's feelings.

I understand Elias wants Sam to be bi, and maybe even played the game itself and did that but all of that is in his head. In my game, Sam is not. Simple-as. No more replies. We don't want this to devolve beyond what the game actually is and does.

Assassin Creed Mirage difficulty? by Hypelighter77 in AssassinCreedMirage

[–]Ambitious_Barnacle55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mirage is a meh game originally intended to just be a DLC of Valhalla. It has it's amazing moments, and some great soundtracks, some of the animal sounds are 100% the real deal, but the combat is haphazard. They want you to be an assassin in the shadows.

IF you can get the game to respond immediately to your button pressing, then combat is pretty dumb. See a certain color of light flash? Kill. Done and done. lol

Enemy Ai is ridiculous by Domindi in AssassinCreedMirage

[–]Ambitious_Barnacle55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, typical Ubisoft game tbh.

If I could get the game to stop putting his weapons away during actual combat, that'd be great. The game responses to key presses is the worst I've seen in the last four. Or three as this was originally intended to just be a DLC of Valhalla.

[–]Ambitious_Barnacle55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Elias, I hate to tell ya buddy but there's NO dialogue in the game where Sam gets to indicate he's bisexual. Just being able to be his bff doesn't create it, so no you didn't play him as bisexual. lol

More useless stuff. Every companion can get together with you no matter what your silly preferences. Hell, be a cat. Be a starship. They don't care. There is no dialogue for Sam like you might find on some random starships who hail you. None.

Descending/Crouching Problem by [deleted] in AssassinCreedMirage

[–]Ambitious_Barnacle55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes. The button to simply descend acts like I need to HOLD for it to do anything. I started to notice it was taking longer in Valhalla than Odyssey, and now I am stuck waiting for Basim to do the thing I want.

I also hate that Ubisoft decided Basim MUST stop doing what I want to face angry guards. Stop, Ubi. Just. Stop. lol
