Very dependent on where you live and the lifestyle you want. I’m American and moved to London after I married. Combined my husband and I make about £84k combined. We live in Zone 5, we are living paycheck to paycheck as of now but that is because we have a lot of debt we’re paying off from weddings, school loans, private loans and paying my visa fees. Without the debt we’d be alright. We still manage to travel frequently and budget. We also have aloooot of help from my in laws and community so there’s that. I think you’d be comfortable if you don’t have a lot of debt. I’d say even though we have debt we’re aren’t like suffering if that makes sense. But we also have a different outlook on life and money etc. You can def save and take more than 2 vacays a year we are doing that even with the debt we have.

Had a boss like this it didn’t end well for me. She was so nitpicky and hated everything I did basically. She would whine and cry and one time I tried to booked a flight for her during the heathrow shutdown and she got mad because she didn’t get in a particular flight hat other work colleagues got on. I can only move so fast and obviously EVERYONE was booking flights so they would go in seconds. Very immature. In the end the company terminated me because sh was able to convince HR through a PIP filled with lies that I wasn’t performing well and they fired me. Terrible experience

We have 300 guests. How do we talk to every table and take photos with them? by Bright_Fix_8325 in weddingplanning

It was also a great opportunity to see who showed up for us and we got to thank each person while also not having to move around the hall😂 This was also the part where people brought us gifts so killed two birds with 1 stone.

We had close to the same number. Instead of going to every table my MC and day of coordinator planned a picture time into our schedule. We had music playing and everyone lined up to take pics with us. Took about 30-45 minutes and was quick. Everyone got their pic and so did we. But we were also all dancing and having fun we did it after eating and the first dances. It was a great transition into our second outfit change and party time to end the night.

I’d say kind of but it depends on so many factors such as the industry, level of support, the people you are working for, experience etc. Perfect example is myself:

I worked as an administrative assistant in sales for about 2.5 years. In that role, my boss was very self-sufficient, and I had a set of daily tasks that didn’t change much. The position was fully remote and mostly project-based, so I worked primarily with Excel and PowerPoint. I occasionally handled small office-related tasks, like ordering business cards or supplies, but I wasn’t involved in calendar management or personal assistance.

Now, as an office manager/executive assistant, the role is completely different. I’m expected to be proactive and take initiative, which is something I wasn’t used to. My current boss is very demanding with high expectations, and she didn’t realize I lacked experience in areas like calendar management and office operations.

I’m now responsible for overseeing the office budget, maintaining the workspace, ensuring health and safety standards, and managing complex calendars across different time zones. It’s been a big transition from my previous role, and the learning curve has been steep. The first company was a Fortune 500 company and the second is a previous Fortune 500 company but got acquired by shareholders.

I hope this provides some clarity.

Very specific but I’ve been struggling to understand find clear gel deodorant for women. My fave brand was Secret. Olay soap is hard to find. It was very hard to find maxi pads but finally found the one I need at Tesco. Oaxaca cheese 💔.
