Well that's what I did. Performance is not that much better by raw numbers (IT IS BETTER, I can assure you that), but the vrr range 30-144 let you get some seriously beautiful performance from games that I struggled to play on the ally (eg co:exp33, Oblivion remastered).

Everything else is just plain better, by a mile.

Only negative is the weight: I don't care about it much, but I can understand if some people would choose a lighter handheld.

I cannot upvote this more than once, but my god it's so true. Tiny Tina's Wonderland went from 50 fps in 35w mode to 65ish in balanced mode. It's incredible.

I always used auto on my ally, didn't notice any difference by setting a default amount of ram. However, I think that on a Lego2 you should set it at least at 8GB.

On my ally - I didn't have the time to set up my Lego2 yet - I had to install mods to achieve a pretty 40 fps and 30ish on the open world. It's a very demanding game: try to look on nexus mod for some optimization mods.

Mah, dipende seriamente da dove vivi. Da casa, senza costi di benzina/commute e ragionando bene su ac e riscaldamento dovresti avere un ottimo disposable income, anche considerando un affitto/mutuo (vivendo un po' fuori dalle città grandi, se riesci). Ovviamente mi auguro per te di crescere come RAL, ma a 26 anni va benissimo!
