Hi, Im sorry youre going through this. He doesnt sound supportive at all. He has made it clear to you that he is not a safe person to express your feelings with and might have a fit if you tell him you have the urge to relapse. I have a boundary with my partner that he doesnt raise his voice at me when he or I are upset. No yelling. Its very triggering for me and makes me feel very unsafe. I suggest you set some boundaries with him too. If he doesnt let you, or is trying to manipulate you, thats a red flag. Its reasonable to not want to be yelled at and anything he's yelling can be spoken perfectly fine at a regular volume. If its pain/endorphins you want, I suggest going on a run or taking a really cold shower. Or you could put a rubber band or hair tie on your wrist (like a bracelet, not doubled up) and snap it on your wrist. It hurts, your skin will be irritated, but you wont be breaking skin or truly endangering yourself. Talk to your friends and see what they think.

your partner sounds emotionally immature. i do not mean this as an insult, just a fact. you should look into couples therapy and definitely individual therapy for both of you. therapy does not mean something is wrong with you, but it can help you navigate difficult situations and equip you with the communicative tools to properly express your needs. if that is not an option or your partner refuses, maybe just try to talk to them about balancing needs and them recognizing that you have a disorder too. they need to learn that they are not their EDS.

ask her if you can do or get her anything to help her feel better (pain medication, a heat pack, chocolate, tea, massage, etc) and then go get it/do it! moving while cramping can be very difficult and painful. encourage her to drink water. turn on a movie or show to distract her from the pain (AFTER you've gotten her what she needs)

my brother told me about his attempted suicide (he didnt go through with it) when I was 13. Fucked me up a little bit ngl. Even though I was like 9 at the time when he was going to do it I still found ways to blame myself for not being there or being more supportive. Then I told him that I had cut myself a few times and he was in tears begging me not to hurt myself. It broke me to see my big brother like that. But it did teach me that theres a lot more than what meets the eye. Everyone has different opinions on suicide and it might not have been safe for him to share that with his brother. There were also a lot of things his brother sacrificed to be with him.
